Something you probably don't even notice that you do.
Someone pointed this out about themselves. Because of the flood in Halo CE, 2 and 3, they must always have a shotgun on them whenever possible no matter what game their playing.
I just realized I do the same thing, and without a doubt this is the reason why. In every game I make sure I hold onto a shotgun because that's exactly what I always did in Halo to fight the flood.
And I bet all you Halo players do exactly the same.

I used it in Halo CE the most probably. The Flood were pretty much guaranteed to jump onto your face so a shotty was useful!

Actually ARs are pretty much my go to weapon for every game. Except the Flood on Halo, shotgun rain it is.

No I hate shotguns in every game except Halo. Even then I only use it in infection,flood missions,and if I'm going in by myself into a base filled with 3 enemies.

2 RepliesNah. Too many video games have... well, video game shotguns. Hell, CE was the only game where I made sure I had a shotgun for the flood. The weapon was a joke in 2 and in Halo 3 you could headshot infected forms.

I have a tendency to pick up 3 round burst (like the BR) or single shot (like the DMR) because of playing halos 2,3, and reach with those extremely effective weapons.
