To put it quite simply- WE ROCK. Have you ever noticed how you login to play a multiplayer game and almost immediately your enjoyment is destroyed by some petulant twit who seems to have nothing better to do than try and tick off you and everyone else playing the game? Annoying, isn't it? That is the antithesis of what the DoD ArchAngels are about. We are a group of like-minded individuals with families and careers who like to get together and regulate the Darkness like nobody's business. We like to kick butt and chew bubblegum, but we're usually all out of bubblegum. This is the type of group where your sense of humor and class will get you a whole lot farther than your k/d ratio. If any of this sounds appealing to you, by all means, let your freak flag fly and join up! I promise you will not regret it. Happy hunting!

why I joined DoD

So I'm running up to cash in my bounties this morning while my son was taking a nap. Random message pops up. I turn around and see the guy that sent the message. Level 29 Warlock and he asks, looking for level 30's to help on hard Vog run sometime. I think, why not, and accept. I'm always up for trying new ways to get through the raid and my normal group isn't always able to get together for a run. About 30 mins later I get a message from him saying the are putting together a group to play. I replied that I was signing off when my son wakes up from his nap. A few minutes later I went into orbit when my son woke up and left the ps4 on. About 2 hrs later turned on the tv to try to get a quick game in and had 28 messages and 35 invites from this guy. Most were just "dude, join" but a few he got a little pissy in some of the later ones. I blocked him and remembered exactly why I joined DoD.

  • Definitely a good group of people we accept into the folds. Ever looked at how many are members of Archangels? They can't necessarily set it as their clan because of the cap, but we're sky high in popularity amongst friends and DoD. I find this to be great for adventuring and keeping trolls out. ;) I as well Meko have been harassed by some "younger adults" or told I'm doing it wrong. Only later when I surprise them with my calm demeanor, and I'm not terrible, they want a friend request accepted? Ha. (Is it hard being a Titan? Lol) Best part about the group is nobody has an elite shoulder on their heads... We're guys having fun in a common even maturity level that people enjoy. This is how online gaming started, it fell by the way side, but we're keeping it alive!

After playing with you this past week in my first attempt at the VoG, I finally beat the raid on Saturday with the help of our own IUHOOPS and a Pick Up Group from DestinyLFG.net. All I can say about Pick Up Groups now is "F*** that noise!" While we did beat Atheon, we had a teammate who acted obnoxious, elite, and condescending to everyone else. He added a level of nerves to the battle that made me screw up way more (I had my worst K/D ratio of any attempt) His attitude was the type that put me off ever wanting to interact in previous multiplayer games. I immediately took him out of my friends list once we were done in case I ever mistakenly invited him to a future game (although I doubt I'll ever forget his name). So, to all you fellow DoD's who I have played with, thank you for being the type of mature gamers who know that all we're trying to do is have a good time when it finally comes time to relax and pick up the controller.

  • Yeah, man. Steady as she goes. DoD and Archangels have been a great resource for genuine down to earth gamers. Kudos to Mojo for starting up this clan. Good group of guys here.

  • If you don't belong to some variety of DoD then I don't even consider your invite. I learned my lesson after one particular player I friended in the Tower.

  • I could not agree more on this. I get a random invite and the first thing I look for is a DoD tag. No tag, no join ... simple as that. EBGZangetsu said it best when we played a bit together yesterday, and I share his sentiments ... this is by far the best group I have been part of in all of my gaming years! Fun, lax, easy going group of guys!
