Επιστολή διαμαρτυρίας προς Bungie

ΝΟΤΕ: This is not the final letter. Feel free to make suggestions. Dear Bungie and fellow Guardians We are the clan “Respect our Authoritah" (ROA), although a small clan, most of us have been playing Destiny since the Beta and some of us since the Alpha. We love Destiny and that is the reason we are writing this letter. After almost two months, most of us and many other players around the world are losing interest in the game. The lack of content, the few repeatable bounties, all the caves and the glitches, are pushing people away. You may have 3.5 million players on a daily basis, but if you believe for a moment that this will be the case come mid November, you are mistaken. After your official announcement regarding the content of the first expansion, you leave us no choice but to abstain from the game until you address the issues that plague Destiny. Glitches and exploits There are still Loot Caves out there. If you just simply set all respawn times at 40 seconds you will fix them all, yet you don’t. Atheon and the Templar are still not fixed, as are all the various glitches in the strikes where one can solo the Bosses. Most of them are easily fixed. Raise a wall, alter the bosses path, move a door a bit to the left, spawn extra mobs outside the boss area. The double bounties glitch is still around. Easy fixes yet once again, no action taken. It is as if you want the exploits to exist. There is no incentive in clearing the raid and the strikes or even playing the game fair and square when other people just get loot, faction points and XP by simply exploiting your mistakes or by shooting at a badly designed spawning point. The rewards system. The rewards system is flawed and unfair in almost every aspect. A player is soloing a strike (which shouldn’t be possible in the first place), then at the last minute a player joins the fireteam just as the boss goes down. Result? The player who actually cleared the strike get’s nothing, the player who entered it for a minute gets a reward. Many of us have cleared the Vault of Glass to walk away with nothing but Ascendant Materials and a shader, only to be forced to wait one whole week to try again. To add insult to injury, that happened to our alts too. How many times have we cleared a strike on Tiger Vanguard to receive a level 16 blue item? How many times have we cleared the Nightfall strike to receive absolutely nothing? Yeap it happens a lot. How many times have we managed to come first in a Crucible match and received, again, nothing, while the last placed player got a nice exotic weapon? The events were also flawed. I personally cleared more than ten Queen’s Missions and all I got was helmets and chests. Let’s not even touch the Iron Banner event. The bounty rewards are flawed as well. Bounties that take five to ten minutes to complete give 100 faction points while others that take half an hour reward 50 faction points. No logic at all. There is absolutely no point in levelling the cryptarch or all those factions beyond level 3, the rewards are most of the time useless. What is they point in levelling the various factions when you can get their gear from random drops? Not to mention that sometimes the looted faction item is better than the one sold by the faction vendor itself. Faction gear should be only obtainable from that faction’s quartermasters. In the Vault of Glass. Besides a helmet and a few weapons the level 30 Vault of Glass rewards little else. Most of the items drop in the level 26 Vault of Glass. It should be the other way around, the end game should have more and better loot. Lack of content. There simply isn’t enough content and variety in the game, to keep players playing and you add insult to injury when you announce ONE raid and ONE strike, oh and 3 Crucible maps, one of which is PS exclusive which means even less for the rest of the players. Seriously Bungie? Currently there are: 27 Crucible Bounties 41 Vanguard Bounties Most of them are the same and the only thing changing is either the planet or the target. So all it comes down to is 10 basic bounties. All of which are recycled within a week or less. It was fine the first few weeks but now it has become boring. Especially since you get nothing out of it. 7 Exotic Bounties. Which make exotics that more common, and most of them require crucible matches. Have you ever considered that some players don’t want to play crucible? Most common response is “ If I wanted to play PvP matches I could always play…. (enter a PvP game you like) and not Destiny“ 20 Queen Bounties 5 of them are Crucible bounties and the rest are rehashes of the Vanguard Bounties. 10 Iron Banner Bounties. The best bounties in my opinion. Too bad the event itself was badly designed. Also a great injustice for the PvE only players. At the time of the Iron Banner the PvPers had eighteen bounties they could do (twelve if you didn't care about PvE). Three times the amount of bounties a PvEer could do, who just had six. One daily is simply too little. The raid is too short. There are only two bosses in the raid. TWO. Not even trash mobs in between to make the experience longer. Even when cleared fair and square it takes about forty five minutes to clear it. Basically, if you have three high level characters (28-30) you can do all the Vanguard bounties, the dailies, the weekly, the nightfall, the lvl26 Vault of Glass, gather all your Vanguard marks in about 18-24 hours of gameplay per week. That is if you play fair. If you exploit the game you can do all that in about half the time. That is a one and a half hour gaming session per day. That is fine if you are a casual gamer, but it is not enough if you are a bit more hardcore. Exotics are too common, too easily obtained. Suggestions gathered after talking to many players. First and foremost fix all the exploits and glitches. Fix the rewards system. Tier your items correctly. Add some more content. you don’t even have to add a single pixel. Just use your mechanics. For example make each story mission playable at nightfall difficulty, with a good reward to boot. Unlock the Level 26 and Level 28 strike playlists for free before the expansions. We all know they are there. Clarify and assign specific roles to the classes (Dps, Tank, Healer etc), or make certain types of weapons class specific. Make each class more unique. Differentiate PVE from PVP gear. Change the Cross functionality during combat, nobody needs emotes during a fight. We can’t dance them to death. What we need is to be able to use items or switch weapons without having to open the inventory. Introduce an in-game chat system. You know how many times I needed to say something to a player, that wasn’t in my fireteam or party chat? I had to open the game menu, and send him a message via the PSN. Fix the Crucible and the PvE. People don’t like to be level 30 and get killed by a level 5 mob or guardian.
After two months people still get confused about how the weapon stats work. We shouldn’t be forced to read a five pages analysis by some guy on the internet, who might not even be right about it. Clarify them or add the numerical values of each stat so people can understand them better. Help us clan leaders out. The eight persons restriction in the Party Chat and the lack of in game clan management makes it a pain in the butt to manage a group of more than eight people. Questions What kind of game is Destiny? Officially. Is Destiny PVP or PVE focused? Is Destiny designed only for casual gamers? How do you plan to keep players coming back to Destiny? Conclusion You don’t give us any incentive to keep playing. You went back on your promises and delivered an unfinished product and now you announce a half baked expansion. You cashed in and left us gamers hanging. You don’t even bother to add some content using your existing mechanics or fix what is already wrong with the game. As such we have decided, as a clan, to completely stop playing Destiny until most issues are fixed, addressed and our questions answered. We call all the clans that love Destiny to follow us in this mission. Guardians Unite Sutorcen of ROA

 • I agree with somethings and obviously disagree with others. But most of all the whole tone of the letter is wrong. Also labeling people who play less than an hour and a half a day as casual is ridiculous.
