Hawkmoon or The Last Word
I have both Hawkmoon and The Last Word hand cannons and love Hawkmoon as the range and large clip size on it is amazing, however people on the forums are always on about The Last Word being the best hand cannon out their. Any word on how these compare once fully upgraded before I pump most of my ascendent energy into Hawkmoon?

I have a version of Devil You Know from a drop with Field Scout (gives 13 clip size and 116 in reserve) and a 33% damage buff when you reload after a precision kill - works for me! That said, I'd love either Hawkmoon or TLW. I think Hawkmoon would be my preferred as a "main" weapon but TLW would be more fun for occasional use.

You jammy sod. I'd like both but as others have mentioned I use a legendary hand cannon so I can run Gjallahorn or Icebreaker for raiding and nightfall. I'd love The Last Word for the Crucible.

1 ReplyI don't have The Last Word so can't respond directly but I do have Hawkmoon and always have a couple if considerations before arming myself with it, that will still apply to your situation.... 1) It's an exotic and that obviously means no Ice Breaker or Gjallahorn, etc. is TLW legendary or exotic? 2) IMHO a decent Scout Rifle beats Hawkmoon. Add that to the exotic issue and....!!! There you go. 2 pennies worth of near-useless input.
