Ok. So after reading the weekly update and all their "plans" on future improvement, I scroll down to read the comments. Holy Cow!! There are a lot of bitter people out there. Granted, I'm pretty close to being one of them after succumbing several times to their crappy server problem animals, and their lies. But, I am a PvP player by heart and I do enjoy the PvP gameplay overall.
What I did not know is how many people hate PvP, like, they really hate PvP. Wow.....

Edited by DENZELJADELI: 10/27/2014 10:49:40 PMAnyone can PvE, but not all can PvP successfully. 98% of online comments involving games come from the 18 under crowd (maybe younger). I write those off. I hope Bungie does as well or they will lose their mid-20s and UP market responsible for their company success.

yeah, a lot of people will not play it at all.I like it,it can be frustrating, but it takes a lot more strategy...

Yeah... I figured Destiny would have a good PvP following considering the BF and CoD franchises were built around a PvP game. Really surprised how much of a minority we really are. **Warning: WALL-O-TEXT ahead** This is where I think Bungie got over ambitious and stepped in it. They are trying to satisfy the PvE and PvP market with the same game. I don't think it would be as bad if they didn't force one type of game play onto the other. For example, if you want an edge in PvP you HAVE to run the raid for weapons and gear that will give you the right perks since they are unobtainable any other way. Then to upgrade the gear you have to farm materials. My secondary hardly has any armor upgrade materials because he hardly saw any PvE. So now I have to stop what I'd rather be doing (PvP) and play PvE to upgrade my crap. PvE really doesn't have to deal much with PvP unless they pick up an exotic bounty that requires it. However, it seems that all weapon stats are ran through a one size fits all normalization equation. End level gear that is supposed to dominate PvE is way to powerful in PvP and the only way to adjust it for PvP is to modify the PvE attributes. This would piss me off too. It's not worth using the Vex in PvE now, not enough damage and not enough ammo to be really effective. Right now I would rather use the store bought vanquisher auto rifle over the Vex during the raid and that makes zero sense. My opinion is that each piece of equipment should have a set of stats for PvP and PvE. Hell, this is what they are trying to do any how but over complicate it with normalization equations. To compound the problem, it is pretty evident that Destiny had some kind of major shake up and changed directions roughly a year prior to release. It is painfully evident between the ultra weak story line and the limited PvP options that there was a scramble to get this out the door. Maybe they were hoping that the content between the two options would be enough to satiate all players? That being the case, they are only fooling themselves. Personally, I am enjoying the game but certain parts are starting to wear on me. The more requisites put into place the more likely people will find one that is annoying or intrusive to game play. Certainly not lauding Destiny or waving its banner but, I am hoping that the next DLC or two make large strides to filling in some of the holes. Can tell you this though, sure as hell ain't waiting 10 years for a complete game. If it wasn't for this group I would have probably given up on this game already. BS'ing and ribbing with you guys in party is what I enjoy the most as of late. We may not have the same enthusiasm we did a few weeks ago and may be a little more frustrated but it is still the part I look forward to now.

**Rant** YES! F-ing server problem animals! I could start a server zoo with all there F-ing zebras, baboons, chimpanzees, etc...oh and let's not forget the F-ing insects, I've got more bees and caterpillars than I can count. You'd think the stupid chimps would have eaten all the insects by now, but no...they're living together like one big happy F-ing family! Sorry for the rant. I'm just a little bitter about last night. After not playing all weekend, I get online to try my new hunter out in the crucible with my fellow Legends and after 2 matches, I get KTO with Zebra, followed closely by Caterpillar and Bee! I gave up after that....

I agree with Adam. It's not just a run and gun/camp type pvp and it requires more strategy than most pvp fps console games. That said I would really enjoy some new modes like a CTF or an assault/defender mode.
