If I could be pulled into a game and have it be my reality Destiny would be it. The universe, my abilities and my clan mates would just be awesome to live in/alongside.
We could explore everywhere in the world, from the bustling streets of a hopeful city to the ruins of London and pluto and Io, Europa, Olympus Mons and even fly amongst the stars. I would whip out my golden gun or arcblade, save guardians whose backs are to the walls and carve my mark into a time filled with hope and adventure.
If only...

Well with VR headsets only a few years away and nerve sensing technology becoming more advanced every few years, my kids will probably have some tech like this when they are in their teens or so (I'm currently 21 with no kids). That is assuming that anyone takes the initiative on this like with the Oculus Rift and the economy holds up for that long, lol. But I would easily drop a good 4 digits to have that kind of tech (if it had good games of course).

Log Horizon was mentioned! Yay :3 But seriously, I liked the actual action bits of SAO, but being forced to watch it make up its mind on whether it was an action or romance anime, and then just seeing it half-ass both was a little sad for a show that had such a great concept... Asuna really ruined the series. On the flipside of that, Log Horizon never strayed from its action/political way of handling problems, and I loved that. It also had a much more accurate depiction of MMOs, which I loved seeing. And yes, I would definitely dive into Destiny if the technology existed..

Edited by Zeldafan92: 8/21/2014 4:15:50 AMGod I am so sick of hearing about SAO here , I enjoy watching it but its irksome to constantly hear about it here ... Now Log Horizon , that is quite better , its a thinking man's MMO fantasy anime , it approaches it the way most of us would to being actually stuck in a game. sword art on the other hand relies too much on human drama and the whole tron like thing if we die here we die for real thing

Kirito, The Black Gunman.

i watched SAO and it's my 2nd favorite anime. I'm currently watching GGO as well and it's only making me more excited for destiny

SAO is the best thing I have ever watched in my entire life.
No Game No Life is good too...
-
I feel like everybody is just conveniently forgetting that in SAO if you died, you died for real. Nobody can honestly say that they didn't die at least once during the Beta and that's just the beginner levels. If I were going to hope to be trapped in a game. I would hope that it's not one with cloaking snipers. So I would probably opt for one like FFXIV or maybe a driving game. >.> PS. I would probably find it a little amusing to see all the people that have the bravado out of game, spend their time camping/hiding behind cover because it just got too real.

Are these movies or something?
-
Hmmm now Destiny with nerve gear, without the whole microwave your brain thing when you die.
-
Yo man. I've never cried so much in my life until I saw SAO. The feel train came rolling in and never stopped ;-;
-
Yeahhh would ne nice to life in a World where the way to communicate with strangers is waving, pointing, dancing and sitting together ^^
-
Keeping up with SAO, and Trying to watch all the way through Log Horizon at the moment. Both are really fun to watch. Yeah, It would be awesome to experience Destiny like that.
-
On the launch date Deej, in his GM avatar comes and say: " You are trapped, you have to clear the vault of glass to get home, but if you die in-game, you also die in the real world ". My reaction to this: "Life here ain't so bad ... guess I could get used to it" xD.

-blam!- sword art online
-
Who'd die first?
-
I have seen both ad I would prefer to go into the log horizon world. I like swords over guns.
-
Getting pulled into destiny or even trapped there wouldn't be that bad I mean Destiny seems to be all about respawning
-
I literally just finished Sao an hour ago. The question is, are we keeping our logout button, or will the giant man in robes, that tells us all of our demise, be Deej? Lol, incoming "weekly update: All you -blam!-ers are trapped, try not to get consumed by the darkness right away." (Lol, the crucible would be empty.)
-
When you kill someone by shooting a television set with their face on it that's when you can tell there will be alot of bullsh*t inbound
-
Nobody here watches Sao no lol
-
Only SAO and it would be awesome to be in destiny like as if you were in SAO.
-
Edited by SaferMurderweapon: 8/20/2014 6:05:10 AMWatched both. The anime of SAO doesn't do the story justice and everyone should read the novel first. English dub sucks by the way. Except the bloopers, they're funny as hell. http://youtu.be/_7kIACUwltA http://youtu.be/cl4vj-7Qrhg Log Horizon is amazing. Season 2 starts in October.
-
I don't like the second season since in it doesn't have that much action going on in my opinion I'll I see when watching it is a bunch of talking
-
Watched SAO and read the light novels up through Phantom Bullet; haven't watched Season 2 yet and will likely wait for the dub. Need to get around to reading Mother's Rosario. Still don't get why people keep comparing it with Destiny. I love both of them...but they're nothing alike. At all.

Shut up and watch Gurren Lagann.
If you haven't watched FLCL
Watch it now
