You see the title, and I usually see "internet feminists" doing this. Check out the link above, a feminist blog on what makes a man a supporter of rayp. Here are the parts what stand out to me for reasons I'll explain
He defends the current legal definition of -blam!- and/or opposes making consent a defense.
He has procured a prostitute.
He characterizes prostitution as a “legitimate” “job” “choice” or defends men who purchase prostitutes.
He has ever revealed he conceives of sex as fundamentally transactional.
He has gone to a strip club.
He is anti-abortion.
He is pro-”choice” because he believes abortion access will make women more sexually available.
He frames discussions of pornography in terms of “freedom of speech.”
He watches pornography in which women are depicted.
He watches any pornography in which sexual acts are depicted as a struggle for power or domination, regardless of whether women are present.
He characterizes the self-sexualizing behavior of some women, such as wearing make-up or high heels, as evidence of women’s desire to “get” a man.
He promotes religious or philosophical views in which a woman’s physical/psychological/emotional/sexual well-being is subordinated to a man’s.
He promotes the idea that women as a class are happier or more fulfilled if they have children, or that they “should” have children.
He argues that people (or just “men”) have sexual “needs.”
He discusses the “types” of women he finds sexually appealing and/or attempts to demean women by telling them he does not find them sexually appe
Why did I list these? Because they have nothing relevant to the issue of raype (the act of forcing someone to engage in sexual activity with you, irregardless of genders).
Are these social issues? Pornography, prostitution, abortion? Yes they are (though I'd argue discussing what men are attracted to is no social issue, and yes men do have sexual needs, all humans do. It's called lust, it's natural) but they aren't relevant to the main cause that they are supposedly fighting for.
They are using the sensitive issue of raype to try and guilt people into "solving" or "fighting for" practically every female social issue, ergo using raype as an object, as a tool to do all of their fighting. Raype, as a tool.
And this is what I find incredibly disgusting. People using such a harmful, disgusting act s a mere political tool is probably one of the most disgusting things you can do, especially when you're using it to further irrelevant agendas. Raype isn't a light hearted subject and it shouldn't be used as one, politically or socially.
He argues that people (or just “men”) have sexual “needs.”
I can say with the utmost confidence that this is false and I have experienced the receiving end a few times already.
-
Also, I notice that people tend to blame the -blam!- victim for being the main cause of the -blam!-. "They dressed up provocatively, they're at fault" We don't blame murder victims for being killed. Why do we blame -blam!- victims?
-
It's not a matter of using -blam!- to motivate other issues, it's a matter of an earnestly held belief that those behaviours can lead to an increased incidence of -blam!-. Maybe you should try reading the actual link next time.
He watches any pornography in which sexual acts are depicted as a struggle for power or domination, regardless of whether women are present.
Does she realize some of us ladies are actually into that? IF that's so then I'm obviously pro--blam!-.
-
People need to use sexiness as a political tool.
-
He argues that people (or just “men”) have sexual “needs.”
Lolwut?
-
What the -blam!- are you talking about? Do you even read, bro?
He is anti-abortion. He discusses the “types” of women he finds sexually appealing
Only ones I disagree with on that list.
-
He watches pornography in which women are depicted.
So this is referring to a female imposter depicting a woman?
-
Rad fems as well as some regular feminists have been exploiting r*pe to advance politically and socially for a while now. Are you really that surprised?
-
I disagree. Just because your average person can't afford to lobby doesn't mean they should be denied other methods of coercion.
-
I'd never thought about it that way. It's pretty insensitive, really. Similar to when politicians and big companies get involved with and help victims of traumatic events just to look good. Feminists make me feel like it's bad to be a male, sometimes. Maybe we are lesser, though...

People misusing horrible things in order to motivate the masses to rally behind their ideology? How innovative!

Damn it people
