Great read and in there it points you to another article that goes further into some more info on this. It seems as though Motes of light are going to be a big end game currency. for those of you that don't know: you continue to gain experience after you meet the level cap of 20. At that point every time you 'level' at that point you create a mote of light that you can then turn in as a type of currency for gear and other items or special crucible entries as mentioned here in the linked article by WhyteFox31( thank you by the way!) If you want to level past 20 and your level number actually change? You must acquire end game gear that adds 'Light' to your armor. Just like Intelligence, strength, and defense, light will be another stat and depending on how much light you stack onto your gear will increase what level character you are.
