Level 20 Is not the end of the story. Merely the beginning of a new chapter.

For those who don't know level 20 is not the level cap. Merely the level bungie predicts you to be when you finish the story...for now. Bungie designer Luke Smith goes in to detail about life after level 20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFRQlCX3Ygs&list=PLraFbwCoisJCG2Wsep4O6WneiWMOKnSe7

  • Motes if Light = Currency. Gear with light stat increases your level past 20 when equipped. Get it right.

Actually let me clarify this. Motes of Light are currency you get for filling your bar. Themselves don't effect what level you are. Your Level is determined by a stat called Light. If you payed attention in the Beta you saw gear that had the Light stat on it. How much light you have determines your level, so yes you could go from level 25 to level 20 by changing gear. It first I was like, what is the point of gaining levels after 20? As I found out more about the game it all came together. If you guys want I will make a post about it but I am not going detail about that on this post.

My first thought was this amounts to a gear score, something you see a lot in an mmo. In a typical mmo, once you hit level cap you start increasing a gear score. In TOR all level 55's aren't equal. So getting past 20 here should amount to increasing gear score, which may be a prerequisite to gaining entry to raids and hard mode strikes. Either way, I'm looking forward to helping get our clan through the end game. I seriously don't think I've ever been this excited about a games release. Maaaaybe mass effect 2, but I was at least able to play mass effect 1 to help tide me over with that game.

      • Ya everything about what they have done with this game tell me they have meticulously planned out the end game here. That's awesome and I can't wait.

      • Watched the video, which tells me 2 important points, 1:- This game is freaking awesome & offers great depth & longevity. 2:- the importance of being in this clan & gaining some good gaming buddies, we need to play together in strikes, story & PvP so that when we get the chance to do raids, we are ready.
