A person steals, robs, burns a house, harms or murders another human being or beings.
They are arrested, charged and processed, sent to court then either fined for a petty crime or sentenced to prison depending on the crime.
If there are sentenced to prison, they are being "rehabilitated".
Then when their time is up or if they didn't go to prison and pay off the fine.
They are released into society again.
Either they learned their lesson and they want to straighten up in the world or continue committing crimes.
Cause after criminals or ex-criminals are released back into the world, their life is now even more difficult..
Nobody wants to hire an ex-con, they have to stay in the country, constantly monitored, they probably lost their old good job now how to settle for a crappy job.
Everybody in the area that live within a radius of ex-cons are usually notified.
After prison, life is even more difficult..
It's up to them on wether or not to take the difficult long way through life.
Or
Go back to breaking the law because they can't cope with life and take the easy way out by ruining other people's life to benefit themselves.
Personal opinion on this subject
Why does the government release these criminals back to the world?
The justice system is fair, whether you believe it or not.
The world isn't black & white, there's no good and evil.
There are those people who get away with it and those who don't.
A person is a person regardless of the crime, the justice system is fair and unbiased.
If you have a problem with it..
Move to another country, otherwise you live in a country with its own set of laws and regulations.
If a person takes a person's life the government "rehabilitates" them or put them away in a cell forever.
However executing them depending on the country and crime, in this modern era the death penalty is no longer a viable option.
The government does not play God, taking another person's life isn't their responsibility or duty.
I got the idea from this post:

I've been desensitized to the loss of human life due to media and other things, so I honestly don't see the point in preserving the life of someone who will most prove to be nothing but detrimental to society. Then again, I believe there is nothing after death so that might be why I have an immoral opinion on this topic.

Imo rehab is BS, don't waste tax money and resources on assholes, just kill them.
-
"Justice System is fair..." So why is Hillary not in prison... It's very obvious she's done many crimes, so why is she not in prison, and that'd be one less crappy candidate in the roster

Solaris, people would respect your opinion more if you weren't, well, solaris. 😏

Please don't mention him or his post in any way, Solaris. He's spewed enough BS that one of his posts from his thread could cause cancer.

Kill murderers. Put rapists and child molesters behind bars and make their living extremely difficult and laborsome. All the petty crimes, actually try to rehabilitate them. If theyre not rehabilitated after 3 strikes. Lock them up and fend for themselves. Just my opinion
-
The idea of rehabilitation doesn't actually exist. It's all about punishment. Probation classes and things of that nature definitely can have a positive impact on Rehabilitation but prison is all about the punishment. This whole lifelong discrimination thing that we have going on if you get in trouble for practically anything is definitely not good for society. Like you say if someone breaks the law once and then you treat them even worse and don't let them work to achieve a good job what do you expect them to do. Part of the problem with this is corporations see people as Expendable assets. You're not really people. If it were legal they would discriminate against the overweight. People with health problems. Pretty much anything. I think the whole way this needs to be addressed with background checks is on a tiered system. If your grade school teacher you better have a perfect record and you better have your act together. A lot of other jobs. It really doesn't matter if you have a record or not. Even working at a bank. What are you going to steal? There are 20 cameras on you at all times. How about working at Intel? If you have the training and education what the hell does it matter about that stunt you did in college? The reason corporations do this is because they can

Or they are rich or have rich family and get away with it with minor penalties.

Edited by jerry300zx: 9/10/2016 6:17:56 PMI kinda agree. The internet has alot to do with it. Information on people is just to easy to get. If you have any assault charges or worse against you it will be very hard to find a job. Years ago people could serve time. Get out and find a good job with the employer not knowing about his prison time.

Baskin and robbins always finds out.

But we do need the death penalty. You'd think people who try so hard to be edgy would want things to be more clear cut. The idea that shit isn't black and white is just dumb.
-
So you made a post dedicated to explaining the US justice system That's ok Better than shitposting
-
I believe that they should be helped at least for a bit so their life isn't as hard for at least a while. Ensuring that they won't break the law agin for at least a while.
-
If an ex-con decides to commit another felony to get back in prison, that's his fault for being immature (i.e. unable to look after himself) and not the justice system's. What the actual -blam!- is the point of this nonsense?
-
That's some rambling nonsense that amounts to very little said. Terrible post.
-
Another post trying to become relevant again Stuart.
-
If the justice system is fair and unbiased, then why would you say the death penalty is antiquated? You mentioned playing god in your post, but doesnt that contradict with how you view the law and the judicial system?
-
after they are processed they are either fined, ror, appearance tickets or jail time. if jail time, it is months before they are sentenced to prison.
-
Agreed.
