In response to your inquiry, I combined minor research with my own knowledge and theories to reach a conclusion about the nature of this question. I shall cut right to the quick, as I doubt you wish to hear the entire process I took.
Though I have seen much of the Vex - too much, I suspect, to the point where I wonder if my hatred of them intermingles dangerously with obsession. But I digress. Though I have seen much of the Vex in the Sol system - told of the absolute conversion of the centaur Nessus by that infuriatingly wonderful Golden Age AI, heard of the sun-blasted ancient mysteries of Mercury from yourself, delved into the Pyramidion on Io (and stand in close proximity to the structure at this moment), and heard many of the exploits of my assistant on Mercury, Mars, Venus, some of questionable validity, I do not know the full reach of their presence in our system. And furthermore, because of their mysterious, unfathomable nature, it is impossible to know for sure if their presence and nature may be consistent across the system. So, what can be discovered of them (as is with much of our universe) is made from speculation and hypotheses.
This rings true for your question. Through the experiences of myself and others, including you and my assistant, we have found that the Vex create a myriad of structures, sometimes similar in appearance and purpose across multiple celestial bodies, and sometimes unique structures made only once, for a specific purpose. Fabled structures such as the Vault of Glass, the Infinite Forest, and more being examples of the latter. Thus, since the Vex carry out many actions and purposes across Vex occupied spaces, it seems reasonable to assume that there are most likely an uncountable number of these structures in our universe, much less in our system. The fact that their projects are of such monumental scale across the spaces they occupy, suggests structures such as the Pyramidion are most likely very numerous in number. At the same time, since we have not even come close to seeing the depth of their presence in our system, there could be just as many unique structures, constructed for purposes we have yet to discover.
I hope that your question was answered, though I am intrigued by the origin of the question. Are you searching for your lost mentor? I suspect that to be a fools errand. His exile and then disappearance on foolish adventures has doubtless brought upon him some terrible, extraordinary fate.
I… apologize. That was unkind and not altogether professional of me to mention him, it most likely a difficult subject for you to dwell upon. I will add, dwelling on the past brings nothing but pain. I know, I’ve thought many a time of how events could have occurred differently on that day in the Pyramidion. I hope for your sake you are not giving those terrible thoughts a chance.
No matter. Should you have further questions of my conclusion, I would be willing to answer.
