I think that the speaker is evil and pretending to be good, and the traveler is being held against his own will without the ability to fight back or something. It is destiny though, a game famous for terrible story. So it will probably end up being a super cliche ending

Pretty much the way I've seen it from reading the grimoire and everything else. The traveller I don't think is good or evil. Though it seem in us the promise of good, hence it "blessing" us. So far we have been the only ones that it has done it to, the other races only got golden ages, not light like we did. And so far we have been the most successful against the darkness.

4 RepliesThis depends on your definition of 'Good' and 'Evil' we are not good, we're quite close to being Evil. Lets look at how to get NTTE, the last step is the Blood in the Garden mission where you must kill The Groundskeeper. To find him you must pratically slaughter the Vex [i]that aren't even attacking you[/i] until you literally anger the Groundskeeper into showing up to which you [i]murder[/i] it. Why have we never strived for peace with any of the enemy factions or develop peaceful relations with them?

The hive did some weird shit with the worms. The worms feed off of light. The traveler and the guardians and all that other stuff is light.

3 RepliesThe fact it runs around with this darkness following it, which it knows its following it, we know Oryx has hunted the Traveler for quite some time with the other dark things that chase it. So this thing is indeed evil for if it wasn't it would go to some part of the universe where there is nothing and stopped mindlessly having races be wiped out because of its incompetence. Rasputin had to freaking stop it to keep it from leaving mankind to die. So really screw the traveler I'm going to go live in Rasputin's bunker.

11 RepliesAnd yet we are aggressors in every single fight we've had so far. Hive I get, but everyone else...hmmm. For example: why hasn't the Tower or City been hit? The Cabal could surely have enough firepower to run us down. Same could be said for the Vex. We invaded the Vault of Glass. We invaded the Black Garden. We landed on Mars and started killing Cabal. We are sent to assassinate, invade, destroy and kill. We shed blood first. Look at every time Zavala talks to ys in TTK: "wipe them out," "kill them all." Destroy everything. Point in fact, from what I can see, nobody was truly bothering us outside of the Hive. Oryx came for us because we killed Crota. We are only told that the Fallen, Cabal and Vex are evil, yet not once from what I've seen have they harassed us until we started killing them. Is the Traveler evil? Yes. It's a mad world so to speak and everyone is evil in one way or another. Are we less evil? Maybe. We are evil nevertheless.

2 RepliesIt can still be considered evil in your terms of which side you're on. But thank you though for mentioning the different races in a way. The only enemy of Darkness are the Hive and Vex. The Cabal and Fallen are just alien races on who is terribly militaristic and the other nomadic pirates.
