The Traveler's the reason this game exists, their all out one stop excuse for anything that isn't obvious or explained... So instead of "the devil did it" it's "the traveler did it" lol so yeah from a certain point of view that giant planet x wannabe is evil. Now before you say anything just remember what Obi Wan said... Many of the truths we cling to rely greatly on our own point of view.

I don't think the traveler is evil at all, i think the speaker is. Think about it, he says what he claims the traveler wants, we don't know if it is actually what he wants.

4 RepliesLooking over the fallen lore. I think sevitors are pretty much ghosts. The traveler gave then to the fallen and fled the darkness. Leaving them to die and fight it back so it could get away. The traveler did the same to us in earth. Only, we attacked the traveler so it cluld not excape as it had planned.

Which still applies to the current lore and still carries some seriously suspicious implications as to what a guardian's true nature really is. Hell one of the cards from the books of sorrow clearly state that even Oryx doesn't know what the deal is between the darkness-which is the deep- and the traveler he hunts. So the jury is still out as what kind of explanation we will get regarding the chaotic amalgamation that is Destiny. The no time to explain description hopefully foreshadows this: "Soon"...

1 ReplyPretty sure the books of sorrow prove the traveler is a sort of bait..and that they (there are many) enter our dimension through the rupture on tentacles..the worms know what is going on, learn from them and re evaluate your post..there is a reason so many different species were taking refuge in the fundament.

The Traveler evil? Probably not, a coward and in it only for itself? Most likely. When the darkness hit the fallen houses the traveler just up and left because it didn't think they could defend it anymore. Some lil clues in grimoire and such makes me believe that the traveler was going to abandon us too when Rasputin crippled it... So it all leads to perspective, but in the end the traveler is just looking for a meat-shield.
