The Exo Stranger

I found this on reddit recently, although it appears to have been written some time ago, because recent information seems to support some of the theories further. (This assumes the image has been viewed, to save on post space.) 1) During the course of the exotic weapon quest chain for No Time To Explain, an updated version of the Stranger's Rifle, Guardians are tasked with the recovery of a lost item of value at Twilight Gap. As you may know, the crucible battleground was the site of the costly battle where the Fallen houses united against the city. The Vanguard succeeded, but at great cost of life, one of whose was Ana Bray. Her hunter cloak is among the most sought-after for its historical significance as well as color. It would seem odd that the War Cult, and the Stranger through them, would send us here. Except that when we discover the artifact is the bracelet of Ana Bray, it would come as no surprise that an exo-Elsie would value this greatly (especially as an exo without a memory wipe moniker.) 2) Mister TacoFury inspired my other support for Elsie as the hero of the Future War Cult. He reminded us in our recent post from grimoire cards of references to a powerful time device. Thanks to him for digging into the timeways for this data. The manner in which the Exo Stranger transmats looks greatly like a Vex's, and her obsession of waging war on them indicates a likely series of battles with the Vex across timelines (supported by analyses that she uses tech from the future). It seems difficult to understand how a Guardian (one not forged by the Traveler) would have time travel ... unless, linked inexplicably to Future War Cult quests, she has access to a time device on par with Vex gateways. Thus, the importance of keeping it secret from being discovered (cinematic quote). That's it for now. I've already diverted enough time away from work. Thanks again for the invite!
