Edited by VIC: 5/5/2013 11:57:40 AMI don't think it's right to paint everyone that frequents this board with a broad brush like that; everyone here has different opinions and backgrounds. I understand that while a lot of people come from similar backgrounds, it would be unfair to make assumptions about the board as a whole, considering what is being witnessed is likely a vocal minority.

This makes you sound like a pretentious idiot, which you are.

Started a new topic: How far behind the Flood is Sapphire?(12 Replies))
-
A few decades or even a century ahead, given the fact that the world has Iran and Saudi Arabia and the Flood doesn't.
-
I haven't visited recently, is it THAT bad now?
-
Edited by Camnator: 7/7/2013 10:11:34 AMI'm glad you got reported. Cowards had to edit my post because they know they're wrong.

Oh, I was just going to note that Bungie.net as a whole is actually stuck in a time warp on the internet. After careful measurement and documentation, I've found that it takes on average around 3+ weeks for something 'new' to reach this site.
-
I don't think the Flood is behind anything... I think it's funny to even refer to the community as if they were any different than any other community.
-
I haven't been on the Offtopic forum for very long but if they really are that far behind, most of them aren't that vocal about it. I also think it's difficult to generalize "the world" when it comes to treatment of gays, transsexuals, and women since different countries and different political parties inside those countries treat them differently. Everyone has a responsibility to be more accepting of other people, although in the end you can only compare the progress of people's knowledge and understanding to your own.
-
Honestly, I'd say the flood is ahead of the world. Its just that the people who tend to post have the stronger opinions, most people who don't particularly care about many of the social justice issues just don't say anything.
-
Apparently pretty damn far behind.
-
What do you expect from a bunch of white western males, most of whom are young and heterosexual?
-
Not saying I agree with you, but I'm actually surprised people still go on the flood.
-
Why do you think the Flood has such trouble understanding these issues?
Most are 14 year old kids who are very, very opinionated.
What do you think could be done to improve their understanding?
Nothing. They're hopeless.
-
Was the world really as bad as the Flood 5 years ago?

Laughed hard

All I know is that if Lincoln gets elected I'm done with this Union.

Edited by Noot Noot Buddy: 7/5/2013 1:09:22 PMWithout you not very far, with you extremely far behind.

I don't understand.

Some people are more naive than others.
-
Too obvious. You are clearly putting effort into it now, which is the mark of a bad troll.

I'm trying to find something to say about the OT that could be positive, but I'm failing to find anything. I'm really only looking at this thread in the first place because of the obvious anger.
-
It is just a bunch of little kids who think they are invincible behind their computer screen and think that they are clever by belittling others for absolutely no reason. Their ignorance is only surpassed by their parents who let their little shit of a kid on the internet in the first place.
When it comes to their knowledge, understanding and handling of social justice issues? I would say they're about five years behind on the treatment of gay people and women
stopped reading here
