Thinking of doing another run before school starts. Preferably in a Gen I/Gen I remake. Not sure what my team is going to be, which is weird because I usually plan out who I'm going to catch and use. Do you plan it out, or do you just wing it? What should my team be this time?
Discuss Pokemon.

>Meloetta event >Only available at certain stores >Check the list >Not available in the town I live in >Not available in the town I used to live in Jesus Christ! How hard would it be to send the damn pokemon to a store in one of the towns with 120,000 and 180,000 people in them respectively?

Going back into Black, which I never beat. Current team is Serperior/Deino/Cobalion/Carracosta/Larvesta/Unfezant.

I'm currently replaying SoulSilver; fun stuff. Nostalgia is spectacular. Personally, I started this game with the goal of competitive metagame battling in mind. I'm just planning to use my favorite Pokemon. Also, for your Gen I team, I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Mime. I used it for the first time in my last playthrough; it's a great Pokemon.

Trying to decide between Jolteon/Ninetales and Flareon/Magneton. From looking at a few sources Flareon doesn't look that good.

I kinda of plan, but not really. I always know what pokemon I want.

When I was younger I just used to go through the game and think THAT LOOKS COOL I'LL CATCH IT. Now I tend to plan my teams. There's usually an Eevee evolution in there if possible, and I normally pick the grass type starter.

I need a team. Either going to be FR/LG or R/S.

So I was thinking about Pokemon earlier, and I've got to thinking that maybe Pokemon isn't REALLY cockfighting. I mean Pokemon aren't really animals, it's been said multiple times in multiple forms of media. Animals and Pokemon live side by side, but Pokemon are just smarter and capable of more than animals in terms of thought as well. Then there's the weirdness that there is only ONE species of Pokemon and all Pokemon are apart of that species. So a Rhydon is the same species as a Pikachu. This was said in one of the mangas.

Edited by A 3 Legged Goat: 1/18/2013 11:55:17 PMI'm one of the few who loves the Mystery Dungeon games. The combat is repetitive of course, but I really enjoy the music and its story. Still waiting for a voice-controlled pokemon game so I can play like the linked video above

I usually just trade my favourite Pokemon in from other games and use them.

If I'm doing a Nuzlocke or it's my first run of a game then I obviously wing it; otherwise, I have other people, a specific challenge (monotype, etc.), or an RNG plan out my team.
