Ok so...
If you're already level 30, how do you get to 31/32? Does one need to buy all new armour or will resetting and rebuilding an existing exotic piece do the trick to get you to 31, and then presumably to level 32 you do the raid?

Getting to level 31 is easy enough. All the sellers now have Light 33 items so you just need the Marks and the fancy Commendations and once you've bought (or been lucky in drops) to get all four you're there. Level 32 (Light 36) I assume is from the new Raid? I'm not keen on the new Commendations though - forcing you to wait until you've gained another level for Vanguard/Crucible until you can buy a Helm, Chest piece or any weapon is crazy! Surely the restriction on 100 Marks per week should be enough of a barrier? Although maybe I'm just saying that because I accidentally levelled my Vanguard on Monday so have to go all the way around again to earn my next one!

I plan to level up my 2 new guns ( Time on target and Murmur) before my exotic chest armour. The Vex M does get the job done on the strike though and its still only at 313 damage. Hopefully it'll do the job on Nightfall too. /nervous

I don't really get the changes but I suppose I need to actually play the thing to get my head round them. But yeah, like Sid it seems like I might as well do the raid first and see what I come away with. Honestly, I don't really feel like I'll be chasing 32 like I did trying to get to 30. The VoG raid on Hard simple isn't fun imho, and now that I've got the gear I wanted more or less, I'll just play the game for the bits I like. That said no doubt the new raid will have some ridiculous gear available on hard which'll make me change my mind...

Im not going to buy any of the vendor armour until after my first raid this Friday, I think I should be fine running the raid at level 30 then I will see what I get from that and make a decision on what to get.

2 RepliesIm interested to see how everything works out. As compared to the new vanguard armourer's weapons, my suros looks pretty tame... Also after about 6 or 7 VoG raids bever had any raid armour drop. Does anyone know if ill still need to get that to progress past lvl29 or will vendour armour help me surpass the lvl milestone? Cheers

Edited by Petrarch: 12/9/2014 4:20:57 PMYou can upgrade the exotic armour but there's nothing to be done with legendary items, so if you want to push on, it's presumably bye - bye to the raid armour for the time being. The new vendor armour lacks the VoG perks but is otherwise stronger. 4 pieces of it will get you to level 31 (only just) but I don't know what light an upgraded exotic will give, best guess would be 36 at max upgrades assuming the logic compared to the previous values holds.

You need armour from Scrotum's End, basically. Not sure how Exotics are going to work. Maybe like the weapons where you can exchange them at Xur?
