[i]Earlier this month, the city of New York was shocked to say the least when reports came in of several Vigilance, those people with abilities stopped an ongoing HDF attempt to detain several Enhanced in a neighborhood in Brooklyn.The Vigilance managed to decimate the HDF, leaving them for the most part damaged and unconscious. Later, a giant monster, one that could be compared to the Leviathan of ancient legend, attack the city, causing hundreds of thousands in property damage, and causing numerous deaths. Several detainees from Facility 1-A, which houses the majority of Enhanced in New York, escaped in the wake of a jailbreak, and began to rampage through Times Square, causing millions in damage and injuring and killing a number of civilians. They were stopped only thanks to the efforts of some of the same Vigilance that stopped the HDF weeks ago. Their battles resulted in the deaths of some of the Enhanced, while the majority was recaptured. They later disappeared after the battles were concluded. Public opinion is mixed. Some view these events as the rise of the Heroes from the bygone era a decade ago, while others see this as the start up of the chaos that caused for the passing of Amendment 29. ONe thing is for sure, though. The world has been shocked several times recently, and anxiously awaiting for the next one.[/i]
