Taken king prep: optional

So first official post, obviously everyone here has plans of getting taken king on launch day/near launch day. In previous updates and dlcs I've always tried to stay ahead of the system my prepping my post master packages with faction, vanguard, daily events, and cryptarch. Don't bother with 80% of that. Only focus on saving cryptarch. With each engram dropping 75 before nightfall, and 91 points after its very easy to lvl up, especially if you aim to have 20 cryptarch on launch day. Simple math: cryptarch package: 100 before nightfall, 125 after, 125* 20= 2500 almost 1 rank up. Plus engrams included average of 2 blues (bare minimum) 40 engrams * 91 3640 points so packages and cryptarch is 2 free rank ups per character, with new engrams. Always worth a shot since we are playing anyways. If your lucky there will be more legendaries. Happy hunting guardians (I know I'm a tool, deal with it)
