Anyone with an interest in riddling is welcome. 1) Be respectful of others in the group wall. (We'd love it if you respected others outside the wall as well, however.) 2) No LFG or Spam of any kind in the group wall, unless specified by an admin (There should be an LFG post of some sort in the private section of this group's forum. If not, it's coming soon.) 3) We are here for riddling, so try to keep the chat as focused as possible on riddling-related conversation. If the chat is dead, meaningless chatter is okay, just don't clutter the chat with non-riddling things if someone is seeking feedback or the like. 4) If you aren't sure that a riddle will be well-received or you think the riddle may be faulty for whatever reason, ask me (Cadence) or an admin to review it (we have a rep to uphold, can't be shoveling out faulty riddles). I promise we won't guess, and if someone does, I'll kick them myself.

Long Story Long

For those who aren't in the Destiny Riddlers group, go ahead and skip down to the riddle. :) Y'all know who I am. I'll skip introductions. Last year around this time, I was dropping out of college. I needed copious amounts of therapy, and a common theme among my helpers was telling me to write down my thoughts and feelings. It felt like an assignment to write down all the bad things that came up in my mind, it felt like work, not for fun. I didn't want to write, I needed to write. Naturally the act of writing itself became a chore and this group no longer revealed its luster, and I selfishly neglected my responsibilities to this group. Recently started to feel inside me a yearning for writing again. Not journaling, but riddling. I saw a riddle today that talked about the group itself, and it brought back feelings of nostalgia, pride, and a little shame too. So today I return with a question for all of you that are still active in this group today (kudos to you for that, by the way). Is there still hope for these forums? Are they passed riddling? Or is this group capable of a comeback? You active members know these forums better than I can assume from a few days of perusing, so I would love to hear your input, and I would love to stick around and make some...renovations. If this notion sounds like something enough of you can get behind, then I think an immediate reboot would be something to seriously consider. Let me know what you guys think. Oh, and how about a new riddle as well? Relatively easy I believe, two part answer, that should be fun...right? There's a chill in the air, our only advantage. You can look, but you can't touch. You can love me, you can hate me, but me and mine will be here regardless, occasionally speaking to you, or just to watch over you. Whether it's Cadence, or whether it's our mediator, it feels damn good to be back after so long. Who are we?

  • Missed you Man, first 40 member vet here. This was a good clan and I remember when I found your riddles and wanted to join way back. Most of us are gone(I rejoined the forums 2 weeks ago after leaving in January), but I see hope for rebuilding. Maybe we don't have to just be destiny riddlers.(there's plenty of other places to do this as well). If not we can rebuild, since the community is still here

      1. Welcome back. 2. I dont know the answer to your riddle, sorry. 3. A hunter walking through a field comes upon a tree. Sitting on one of the branches are 5 birds. He pulls out his Matador 64 and fires a single shot, striking and killing 2 of the birds, who's lifeless carcasses fall to the ground. How many birds remain on the branch? And for bonus points, how many birds would he have struck if shot package was still a thing?
Easy I know, but you'd be surprised sometimes
