Please don't take away the magic fun of hand cannons. It's why I log in every day. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
This is a game, and it needs to be fun.

When discussing the potential game breaking ability of the Bezerker in Borderlands 2 t to be able to dual wield any gun in the game, the developer responded by saying they focus on fun. That comes first. Everything else can come later. There is literally no reason for caps on marks, nightfalls, or raid attempts. These things are there to slow progress and decrease fun. Get rid of them, let me run the raid ten times a week. That's what the shit i paid for, and I should be allowed to do it if i want. Stop telling me I'm not playing your game right. If you were worried about us blowing through content too quickly, you should have made more of it. Not roadblock me at every turn from acquiring it.

Edited by Crummy Ninja: 2/10/2015 8:12:52 PMI agree! They need to put the cannon in "Hand Cannon"! HCs should take three people to load, have almost no sighting mechanism, have a chance of decapitating your team, and blow up ten percent of the time.
-
The hand canons weren't intended for sniping. Like they can. So sorry

Agreed

"This is a game, and it needs to be fun." This perfectly sums up all our feelings right there.

After careful consideration the developers at Bungie have decided your post is OP because everyone agrees with you. WE are sorry too inform you it will be nerfed in the next update
-
Please post this after the patch if it still applies

My 2 cents. It seems to me, being a day one and beta person with Destiny that it has become less and less fun with each tweak. They are clearly designed to appease the vocal minority in crucible or slow the progress and in some cases even punish the skilled players. The more `i play the more it feels like I'm being told "Don't be too good or we will f%^k up your gameplay! You will be that average Joe No-Skills or don't bother playing!" Case in point. In Iron Banner everyone with any skill at PvP used either a Suros, Vex or some other autofire weapon. We used them because they offered a good trade between killing power and range. Instead of seeing this for what it is i.e. players choosing their weapons based on how you would fight any battle (Note no army ever gives their troops a semi automatic "Pulse" rifle and expects them to live beyond a few minutes in a battle). They instead saw this as some flaw in other weapons that needed "fixing". Do they really not get that forcing you to use a different weapon is simply a way to take the choice away from the player. It's literally the arrogance of saying "A lot of you have gravitated towards auto rifles because you're not dumb. We would prefer you to be dumb so we are removing the reason for autorifles to exist and making the choice for you to use a pulse rifle. Not because you want to or because it's a wise choice but, purely because designer X made them and is crying that you weren't dumb enough to use them"
-
They are still going to be amazing and probably still the best weapon class for pvp, they will just, you know, shoot more like a hand cannon and not a sniper rifle
-
Ok look you don't know how they are gonna be until it goes live until then just chill and enjoy them
-
Agreed, it's funny to see how quickly a nerf to hand cannons will be implemented when we still plea for things like extra vault space and more events.
-
Can't believe Bungie is wasting their time on weapon tuning. Make a full game before tweaking the small things damnit
-
I honestly think what they're doing to handcannons is kind of dumb, lowering the accuracy of handcannons? Every gun should be as accurate as the user can shoot it
-
New go to primary is the scout everyone. Everything else will be nerfed to shotgun range. Have fun.
-
Raid matchmaking would be fun and not broken. I would log in everyday for raid matchmaking.
-
Same. This game is nothing to me without the joy of Handcannons.
-
On the subject of sniping across the map. A third ring is needed for PvP opponents that don't move at a distance. The longer they stay put, the brighter they glow.
-
All the change is going is making trigger spamming your handcannons less accurate, especially at long range so you can't out snipe a scout rifle across map.
-
That is how i felt about what happened to counter-strike back in the day, it was fun until they tried to make it too real, but im hoping this is mostly over reaction to the tuning and it wont be that bad. Either way im glad they communicated it to us and i love pulse rifles, i just dont use them so im glad they are getting love
