Whether HoW is good or not I'm done with DESTINY after I complete it. I don't agree with the politics or business practices associated with this game so I won't support this franchise or Activision through buying anymore of their products. If this business model continues to be successful console games as we currently recognize them will become nothing more than large scale mobile games with micro transactions and DLC gates at every turn.

Companies used to compete for our dollars by giving us the highest quality product for the best value, now all most developers care about is increasing revenue by milking their current consumer base for as much as they can. I don't know if this latest generation of gamers can understand the magnitude of the situation. You've got group (A) who who doesn't spend their own money, and group (B) who only knows this current development structure. Group (A) doesn't care about value since they don't incur a monetary loss, if the game sucks they'll just ask their benefactor to buy them something else. Then you have group (B) who's been getting molested by their uncle for so long they don't see anything wrong with, it's just a part of their weekly routine.
For those of us who know better, the time has come to take a stand and let the world know we are much more than livestock. They see us as ignorant pigs, and will continue feeding us shit until we stop eating eat! What they are doing makes perfect business since, why give us a completed project when they'll pay full price for a beta? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Most games aren't designed to be the best they can be anymore, they're designed to keep you busy just long enough for them to prepare the next product they want to sell you! That's why Call of Duty will never be good again, that's why Assassins Creed Unity was trash, and that's why DESTINY has such limited content available. Destiny had it's content cut to ensure that the player base would get bored within a set time frame and feel the need to buy the next DLC expansion as it became available.
Both COD and DESTINY fall under the Activision umbrella, interestingly enough, their title releases and DLC expansions have been scheduled to become available during the time they anticipate most gamers to have completed the available content on the other game... Very few companies actually take pride in their creations nowadays, it's all about how much they can profit off the game via DLC and merchandising. Rockstar does a pretty good Job with their titles, I believe it's because their franchises aren't annualized and you'll only see a GTA once every 5 or 6 years. GTA games are always overflowing with content, there is even post launch support of FREE content in GTAV!
It's a damn shame that Most of the indie games I've played recently have been of higher quality than what these "AAA" developers have been selling to us. I'm currently playing TRANSISTOR on PS4 which sells for about $20 and is worth every dollar! Beautiful artwork, good character development, depth to the story, and the soundtrack is -blam!-ing sick! I got it for free since it's part of PS+ this month but would have bought it sooner had I not been so busy trying to acquire the Crux of Crota, which after 8 hard mode kills it still hasn't dropped...

Long story short, we're at war and the strongest weapons we have are our time, money, and voices. I've been gaming since I was a child, it's one of my favorite pastimes which I can enjoy with friends and family of all ages. I never thought gaming was something I'd ever give up until I noticed this latest DLC trend with the industry and saw how it was reducing the quality of games being produced. This business model will ultimately be the end of gaming if we don't act soon. All these CEO's care about is the bottom line and maximizing profitability in the current market, once that dries up they'll move onto something else not giving a shit about the ruin they've left in their wake. I'll be playing House of Wolves only because they already have my money as I misplaced my faith in BUNGIE and bought the guardian edition that included the season pass. After that I'm done with Destiny.

This happened to movies, it happened to music and finally, it enevitably happened to games, like it happened to our food, our jobs, journalism and anything we know. It's just a logical consequence of capitalism, a bad system we supported and allowed to grow, in which inhumane pricks, known as the free market cult, finally took control of everything, poisoning anything we loved. You think this is about game developers? You should think twice.
