Join now, let's rebel against the once loved developer. The highest rating I can give the game is a 4/10, i have it and almost barely play it. Why are we arguing? This is a good reason:

If you bought a toaster for $70 that only toasted 1 side of the slice would you just stop using it, or would you complain to the manufacturer to fix it because its only doing half of what it advertised?
For those of you desticles, check out the truth.
Bungie made trailers. They were great. We loved them. As of to this point, Bungie had so many loyalists…
Destiny released. It was probably the best game ever at the time. Everyone was blind until after their warranty ended.
We have noticed the bosses are just overpowered sponges, us just trying to cram bullets into them. We noticed how most of the weapons looked almost exactly the same. We noticed that they fired Martin O';ً Donnel, and blamed him. We noticed no storyline, or no "RICH CINEMATIC STORYTELLING!. We noticed how they held the Crypt-Arch captive and forced him into a life of RNG. We noticed the missions, how they used a single world and put some fancy enemies and a small accessible area into a patrol world and called it "story".
TL;DR: they ripped us off.
Look at the last few paragraphs. Bungie made loyal fans buy a 4.0 rip-off. The reasons are right there. Our second in command is Quantum Sticks.

EDIT 3:
Because we bought the game and expected a lot more, it is painfully obvious that the game was gutted completely leaving it with bare bones. Yes the game has good mechanics, decent graphics and music, the strikes were fun but now after over 200 strikes they have gotten rather tedious. The main reason why you do the strikes is to get better gear so you can do the same exact strikes over again.
Now only after playing less than 2 months ( have played twice this past week) players are dropping out of the strikes leaving only 2 players to finish the strikes - the one aspect of the game I enjoy anymore is now becoming stressful. There Is no story and no characters to back up no story, no other distractions or aspects of the game for soloing or just to mix it up. The public events are a total joke, patrol missions a re a total joke, vendors - not even sure why there is any after looing in their inventory.
It's not so much hate posts, well maybe some are but think we all feel a bit let down and to think they are working on Destiny 2? Really? The games been out long enough now so reviews are starting to be a lot more truthful, but what's hysterical is how Bungie didn't want any reviews at the start, we all know why now. Sadly they had to of known that eventually the truth would get out.
I had played for roughly 2 months, on and off and in that time they could have easily added some meat to this game and they haven't. I doubt they ever will, think they will just throw some patches at it from time to time, maybe if we are lucky will get a pressie for xmas if we are lucky and that's their idea of trying to reel us back in.
This last update with the release of the dlc, think that was the straw that broke the camels back, of course there are some out there that are ok with that and great. However having to regrind so early in the game for weapons and armor you just finished grinding to fully upgrade? Bad idea. To release new gear and armor would have been ok, but to revamp all gear?! What probably would have been a better idea is to buff the bullet sponges ( I mean how many rockets does it take to kill a boss!) and maybe add a bit more strategy to the game.
I mean come on, how many rockets to the head can one boss take?! Maybe they should introduce nukes, would still take a few nukes to kill a boss. - everything within a 300 mile radius would be dead but the boss, heck no! I mean are these bosses from Krypton? Relatives of Superman?
A lot of the flaws in this game could be over looked IF there was actual content and a half decent story/ If you have a few friends that play on your system and all of you do strikes and raids together then yeah I can see playing this from time to time, honestly I play CoD Black Ops more now with my son than I do Destiny and that's not even that good, but at least it's balanced, somewhat. I'm not a big pvper so, but at least in CoD you all get the same guns no one hit kills and basically team with the highest kills wins - to me it's less frustrating than crucible. Although me and my son tend to play CoD Zombies and see what level we can get to.
If this game was offline and what we bought is what we have and the crucible was online, then they would have had to come up with more of a campaign / content, but perhaps Bungie was hoping that the whole online thing was new and refreshing, new gen game you know <---that's sarcasm by the way.
The Last Of Us has a pvp multi player online and it seems like more fun, but they had a epic full campaign in that game. Actually a lot of games have pvp aspects you can play online so this isn't new Anyhow at the end of Destiny's campaign it doesn't even come close to the feeling of an epic of Star Wars battle - Destiny leaves you feeling like...what that's it?!
Destiny is trying to be a fashion statement, these shoes with this outfit while shooting things that you have no idea of their history. But hey you are looking fab doing it right?
Woah, lots of supporters. And, just for those idiots who look at hours played n' stuff, Destiny isn't all that garbage. I mean, the game is still a little fun. The DLC should keep me from getting bored, I presume.

If you didn't know, almost the same thing is happening in Destiny with Farmville.
EDIT 6:
When I traded in Destiny, I got $15 out of it...... this was with the pre-order metal case and box. They didn't want the box or the contents and the metal case added nothing. So I literally got back the same equivalent to buy a DLC in which my buddy paid over $80 for the -blam!-ing game.....
This game is a rip, even when you want to get rid of it. JingleDoob is right and if you can't see it. You must be part of the deluded. blind fanboy crowd.
EDIT 7:
I was the biggest supporter of them really putting down "haters." After doing almost everything (I can't get a regular raid team together due to my horrid work schedule) - it is becoming a real pain to grind. All this game is so far is a shooting gallery, Skinner Box to the max game that just so happens to have the very best ballet like smoothness to the movements with super art and sound. Other than those very impressive traits - there is NOTHING! Nothing - nada - zilch. We have sparrows that are useless other than skipping killing enemies to rush through a strike. We have spaceships that are just screen fillers. We have great feeling guns which mostly look the same with some exceptions and a fashion game. It is about 90% Skinner Box maxed to such a degree you want to lobby your nation's leaders to ban the practice. That a bullet sponge shooting gallery. Come on Bungie! How could you not see what Rockstar has been doing forever. Giving the gamer so many things to do and things that they DON"T have to do but can that you can play GTA games for years. Combine their best traits - including interacting with so many characters it is just stunning - with Destiny's look, feel and sound and THEN you would have a true 10 year dynasty and in fact the best game ever made period! How would you all feel if the enemy spoke to us and not just laughed and growled? How would you feel if you could patrol the city and interact with citizens? How would you feel if you had a Public Event where you had to protect women and children? How would you react if we could race our ships to discover other planets and moons? How would you feel if you just had more blaming things to do then just pump bullets into a sponge?
EDIT 8:
It's plain to see that the truly talented Bungie members either left or were fired. Those running Bungie now put screwing over their players as their biggest priority. No Story, No Vision, Lies upon Lies as to how Expansive, Mysterious and Enthralling Destiny would be.
Destiny has a Mad-Lib produced plot, Brain Dead Enemy AI, Zero Surprises, just Endless Repetition. It has the most Boring and Dead game worlds ever encountered. What a GD waste.
No way is Destiny gonna last 10 years in this appalling state! I'd say Destiny 2 actually getting made is a long-shot. Players have good reason to feel betrayed and let down by Destiny. Bungies former stellar reputation has been demolished, never again will pre-order or buy a Bungie game without giving reviewers time to find out how awful it is.
Personally, Bungie should be class action sued by the millions they robbed, and burned to the ground financially so that nothing remains of the company. Just a shattered memory of what once was.
