So in the grimore, gjallarhorn is built and forged from the armor of those who have fallen in the battle of twilight gap.
In the the battle of twilight gap, hunters refuse to go into battle. It was only warlocks and Titans...
And gjallarhorn is a weapon that is meant to be gifted to the survivors of the battle of twilight gap...
So why do hunters have the reward if they didn't contribute?
The hunter's leader gave order to retreat early in the battle. Some hunters still fought though.
EDIT: no hate against hunters.. But I just found this a bit interesting
EDIT: I have read this somewhere in the grimore. If I find it again I will tell you
EDIT: Ana was the only Hunter who agreed to go into war
EDIT: this is just a fun small little post about a little topic I found a bit interesting. Nothing serious guys.
EDIT: can some people not read that I have a hunter and I have a gjallarhorn?
EDIT: did a bit more research. MOST hunters refused to. Not all

Worlocks were not there only titans idiot
-
Because hunters are scrubs.

Edited by MCPrezIndustries: 2/26/2015 11:46:34 PMIf no other hunters were there, why is there a cape you can get from the speaker that is made from dead hunters of the Twilight Gap battle? Answer me that!
-
because I'm lucky
-
Read Centauri Alphas fan fiction. Its because xur stole them and put them out there for all guardians to find.
if you are into fanfiction at all he has some of the best stories
-
If bungie was smart, knowing the grimore would increase rng on certain items. Force us to know the lore
-
You actually read those? What a nerd!
-
Obviously because they were still alive and collected the armor off the dead warlocks and titans
-
because nothing spoils a quiet stealthy party like THE MOTHERF*CKING ROCKETPOCALYPSE!!
-
Because I have 3 different classes.
-
Edited by King Hutch IV: 2/26/2015 11:40:17 PMI wouldn't say they shouldn't carry it, but the design matching the hunter alpha lupi piece is odd to me given the grimoire. Did Ana fall wearing the crest of Alpha Lupi? That'd be kind of badass if that's the tale
only warlocks should have bad juju! Lol
Edited by Doc SoCal: 2/26/2015 11:29:40 PMHunters take what they want, they don't wait for it to be given to them. Like Space Pirates.... ; )
-
Why do warlocks and titans have thorn? They can't even be the second incarnation of dredgen yor. They don't even hunt.
-
Why do Warlocks and Titans have The Last Word? It a gun made by a hunter for hunters, which is why our golden gun is a flaming model of it. Same reason, game wouldn't be fair otherwise.
-
Did you find that grimorie card yet?
-
Edited by Thoknarg: 2/9/2015 9:24:59 PMThis is also like say Ling "Why do titans and warlocks have the last word", its original owner was a hunter. Or why do titans and warlocks have super good advice? Because it was also made by a hunter.
-
Because they have found it.
-
Stop trying to make sense of this game. STOP IT.
-
Because xur is illegally selling it or in the RNG there are fallen gaurdians that survived the war and they went dark there and then you get it
-
The card is for fun it's not all to be taken but so seriously
-
I created my hunter as my first and I got to gjallahorns on him
-
You see the lengths bungie is willing to go to when THEY feel a particular item or weapon is being exploited/misused/over used. Loot cave? Gone. Cheeses? Gone. Nobody uses thorn? Buff. Nobody used pulse rifles? Nerf everything else. Too much vex use in crucible? Nerf it. So in knowing all this, and whatever I forgot, ask yourself. "What if hunters couldn't hold the most coveted highly sought after rocket launcher?" Nobody would be a hunter. Then the gally would either be taken away, nerfed, OR (the more likely of the scenarios) the other two classes would be nerfed and hunters would be buffed.
-
But Anna Bray was a hunter, and she fought in the battle soo.... Yeah..
-
First character was a hunter got a gjallarhorn at lvl 26 first play through of VoG
-
I have one of each so i guess im a super contributor

These are hunters that spawn AFTER twilight gap. Therefore have a chance to prove themselves as worthy to own the Gjallarhorn. Even if it was just 1 hunter (Ana) that went to battle, that in itself makes hunters worthy to own one anyway.
