So in the grimore, gjallarhorn is built and forged from the armor of those who have fallen in the battle of twilight gap.
In the the battle of twilight gap, hunters refuse to go into battle. It was only warlocks and Titans...
And gjallarhorn is a weapon that is meant to be gifted to the survivors of the battle of twilight gap...
So why do hunters have the reward if they didn't contribute?
The hunter's leader gave order to retreat early in the battle. Some hunters still fought though.
EDIT: no hate against hunters.. But I just found this a bit interesting
EDIT: I have read this somewhere in the grimore. If I find it again I will tell you
EDIT: Ana was the only Hunter who agreed to go into war
EDIT: this is just a fun small little post about a little topic I found a bit interesting. Nothing serious guys.
EDIT: can some people not read that I have a hunter and I have a gjallarhorn?
EDIT: did a bit more research. MOST hunters refused to. Not all
-
Where does this say that hunters refused? From my understanding, hunters did go. There is a speaker cloak for hunters, cant quite remember the name, but its all gold and white. The description says it was worn by Anna Bray in the Battle of Twilight Gap.
-
Umm to go invisible and blow stuff up.
-
That's interesting to note. The "lore" of the game is definitely part of why I like Titans so much.
-
Technically since a hunter went... they should have a chance at it?
-
wtf is the twilight gap lol
-
The titans built the wall, but hunters and warlocks still stay inside...
-
There is some weird shit in the grimoire, here is one part I find particularly disturbing.
Like the Ahamkara. Do you know the legends? The dragon that made promises? And I pulled out the fossil with a flourish - She pulled out her knife and started to pick the dirt from her nails. That set me off. You could never have brought down one of these, I said. Ever. Not the greatest Hunter, not the brawniest Titan. Her eyes narrowed. She said, Oh? Is that so? And I saw right then that she wasn't going to pass on the challenge. I've murdered a Guardian, I thought. She's going to die. It'll be my fault.
-
But we scurried back bro!
-
None of our guardians are survivors of the twilight gap we where dead prior to it. None of us should have it if you want to get technical.
-
I have heard that before too, but I can't believe it until I see the card that says so
-
Because hunters are useless in raids without them! Oooooooo Burn!
-
Lmao It's a game. And the lore is pretty lame.
-
Cayde-6 fought at Twilight Gap
-
RNGenie shows no history bias lol.

Edited by ShadowWolffe: 2/27/2015 3:04:56 AMSo you're telling me that only Ana fought at the battle...that must mean there were only 4 guardians defending the wall that day; Saladin, Shaxx, Zavala and Ana right? Just cause the lore mentioned one notable hunter, doesn't mean only one hunter participated. Thousands of guardians died that day and I'm sure hundreds if not thousands of hunters perished that day as well. If you guys want to cut us out of Grimoire so badly, you won't succeed. Cayde-6, the hunter vanguard, has the best fkn Grimoire card. I don't see any of the other vanguard owning a fallen shock pistol
-
Well i got gjallohorn on my lock and gave it to my hunter so derp
-
If you want to get that deep into the lore, none of us were at Twilight Gap. It happened before we were revived. So none should have Gjallarhorn.
-
According to the grimoire, the 3 major heroes of twilight gap were Zavala, Shaxx, and Saladin
-
Ana Bray was a hunter and is the only one credited with fighting at the Twilight Gap.
-
Its a video game thats why hate on hunters all you want but still hunters are master class jk dont wanna start a wat
-
Maybe that that's why the F**k I don't have one yet. Even though I've got 1 of each class.
-
One Hunter went so hunters helped
-
I got 2 ghorn with my titan and 1 with my warlock but 0 with my hunter
-
Hunters use Ghorn. Titans use TLW Warlocks just spam their supers.
-
Maybe if we knew anything about the twighlight gap battle Which we don't thanks to the game We could answer this
-
I just crouched down, went invisible and swiped it from a warlock.
