So in the grimore, gjallarhorn is built and forged from the armor of those who have fallen in the battle of twilight gap.
In the the battle of twilight gap, hunters refuse to go into battle. It was only warlocks and Titans...
And gjallarhorn is a weapon that is meant to be gifted to the survivors of the battle of twilight gap...
So why do hunters have the reward if they didn't contribute?
The hunter's leader gave order to retreat early in the battle. Some hunters still fought though.
EDIT: no hate against hunters.. But I just found this a bit interesting
EDIT: I have read this somewhere in the grimore. If I find it again I will tell you
EDIT: Ana was the only Hunter who agreed to go into war
EDIT: this is just a fun small little post about a little topic I found a bit interesting. Nothing serious guys.
EDIT: can some people not read that I have a hunter and I have a gjallarhorn?
EDIT: did a bit more research. MOST hunters refused to. Not all

Hunters were in that battle actually ! There are several things in the grimoire and on armor that states this as a fact . The gjallarhorn also states that the gjallarhorn was made from the armor of fallen guardians . The armor it most resembles is the alpha lupi chest pieces from both the titan and hunter classes it is reasonable to say that the gjallarhorn was made from fallen hunters and titans :P

Is there a Destiny comic? How do you guys know this stuff? I want to read!
-
When I was playing as my hunter I turned in some rare engrams to the Cryptarch and then ranked up to level 50 with the guy and he gave me a Legendary Heavy Weapon Engram and BLAM!!!! Gjallarhorn ~Fin~
-
There actually were there. No other class wears a cloak. Strength of the packs description proves this
-
Why is there hive after the loot cave?
-
Iirc, the hunters formed their vangard unit as a result of the battle at Twilight Gap. They went into the field to stop the fallen from getting that close again. Can't remember where I read that... maybe in Cayde's grimoire.
-
Because they got it from the vault. Courtesy of titans and warlocks lolol
-
Because we stole all the Gjallarhorns from the Warlocks, just like we did with Blink.
-
Then explain why Hunter Alpha Lupi looks just like the Gjallahorn wolf.
-
There was a Hunter in the battle of Twilight Gap. Her name was Ana something. The speaker sells her cloak. It's actually up for grabs this week. I forgot what it's called.
-
No clue. But the posts below me are hilariously entertaining
-
They probably cried about it and to shut them up they where allowed to use them
-
Face it hunters are better then you
-
Hunters were involved get the information correct before or you just look like a fool lol
-
Imagine if there were actually battles/wars we could fight in with each class participating in different ways. God this game could have been so much better..
-
Actually every titan in the game has ghallarhorn. Pretty sure the RNG favours titans for gjallahorns.
-
It was my Titan who got the gjallahorn from the vog exotic when I went to him with all 3 classes
-
The gjallahorn is passed down from the hunter's parents(90% titan~father & warlock~mother). The other 10%(hunter mother & father), used invisibility to steal them from titans & warlocks out in the wild
-
Umm... Read it again... Hunters and warlocks were defiantly involved in the battle of the twilight gap...
-
Because it's a GAME.
-
Is it out of the question to assume that not all of the survivors of that battle are still alive during the period that the game occurs? Would it not be possible for those Hunters to scavenge Gjallarhorn from the Guardians that fell in combat after that battle?
-
Since when did Cabal become so fat?
was it to much beer and NASCAR?
-
Actually Ana Bray was one of the few hunters in that battle fgt. I'm wearing her cloak. Bruh.
-
Because they can kick your arrogant ass
-
We picked it off the bodies.
-
Yah, if this followed the grimore than half the guns in th game could only be wielded by hunters lol
