So in the grimore, gjallarhorn is built and forged from the armor of those who have fallen in the battle of twilight gap.
In the the battle of twilight gap, hunters refuse to go into battle. It was only warlocks and Titans...
And gjallarhorn is a weapon that is meant to be gifted to the survivors of the battle of twilight gap...
So why do hunters have the reward if they didn't contribute?
The hunter's leader gave order to retreat early in the battle. Some hunters still fought though.
EDIT: no hate against hunters.. But I just found this a bit interesting
EDIT: I have read this somewhere in the grimore. If I find it again I will tell you
EDIT: Ana was the only Hunter who agreed to go into war
EDIT: this is just a fun small little post about a little topic I found a bit interesting. Nothing serious guys.
EDIT: can some people not read that I have a hunter and I have a gjallarhorn?
EDIT: did a bit more research. MOST hunters refused to. Not all

Ana bray fought in twilight gap and her cloak has a wolf on it
-
Because we "found" it. And we like flashy explosions too.
-
You don't know what you are talking about. This is a useless statement.
-
Where does it say Hunters refused to fight in the Battle of Twilight Gap? Someone else claimed this before and offered no proof. Here's some evidence to the contrary: Strength of the Pack Legendary Hunter Cloak A pattern worn by Ana Bray during the fateful battle of the Twilight Gap. Hunters were in the Battle. And the cloak is dubbed 'Strength of the Pack'? Sounds like she was pretty damn important too. Keep trying, Titans and Warlocks.
-
I believe Cayde-6 was the only Hunter to fight at The Battle Of Twilight Gap.
-
Ghorn is for those who survived.... Hunters survived it... So why are titans and warlocks using them?
-
Edited by DSP McCartney: 2/8/2015 11:35:49 AMIn my experience, Hunters have Gjallarhorns because they are rewarded with them for doing shitty in the Crucible. At least that's how my Hunter got his...

Edited by Torus: 2/8/2015 12:42:11 PMActually if you go to the speaker as a hunter and purchase the "Strength of the pack" cloak its says clearly in the description that it was worn by Anna bray in the battle of the twilight gap. She was a hunter so thats makes your theory wrong. And please tell in what grimoir card does it say hunters refused to go to battle? Note: why do warlocks and titans have Hand Cannons in general not one grimoir card has stated that either a warlock or Titan has owned a hand cannon. Its always hunters even in bungie's trailers and artwork. Hand Cannons are a hunters Trademark weapon.

Then only hunters should have thorn and last word
-
Hmmm... maybe they took it from a dead gaurdian?
-
For the same reason my Hunter was given The Heart of Praxic Fire before I made a Warlock.
-
Why do titans have The Last Word?
-
Edited by Kool Prodigy: 2/8/2015 1:00:51 PMDumbass! If you go to the speaker and see a hunter cloak called "strength of the pack" The description says it was worn by a hunter called Anna Bray in the battle of the twilight gap so your theory is shitfully wrong.
-
Why do titans and hunters have thorn
-
Dose that mean the people that own a gjallarhorn gets to to Like this exclusive raid of the twilight gap revenge or something like us guardians are survivers of the original twilight gap war thing..... Just thinking about the far future of destiny
-
Because the Warlocks and Titans died. Arguably you could call Hunters survivors
-
If we wanted to get logical, none of us deserve it since we didn't fight in the twilight gap (unless you wanna say we were brought back to life after dying in the twilight gap battle). Then again, we wouldn't be labeled survivors of the twilight gap = those that deserve ghorn. Plus as pointed out before, the hunter cloak Strength of The Pack is from Ana Bray who fought in the battle of twilight gap.....sooooo ya

Intriguing!

Edited by John6Max4: 2/8/2015 9:57:28 AMThey all died slowing the fallen army down outside the City so they could prepare for the attack. Since the Battle of Twilight Gap didn't officially start and their armor was lost to the wilderness, the only hunter armor incorporated into Gjallahorn was the Wolf Head on top of the weapon taken from Crest of Alpha Lupi . The wearer was Ana Bray who managed to get back with her last remaining fireteam and return to the fight and die for the City. Boom, Bang, Bam. Put that into your lore, Bungie!
-
They were there just invisible
-
because the hunter uses it in the trailer, so now you can be like the hunter on TV.
-
3 hunters, 2 gallys, infinite guardian tears, priceless.
-
I love being a Hunter. #RebelClass
-
why do warlocks and titans have TLW
-
stfu its a game
-
Hunters were in that battle actually ! There are several things in the grimoire and on armor that states this as a fact . The gjallarhorn also states that the gjallarhorn was made from the armor of fallen guardians . The armor it most resembles is the alpha lupi chest pieces from both the titan and hunter classes it is reasonable to say that the gjallarhorn was made from fallen hunters and titans :P
