Good morning my fellow guardians. After you land the next backflip on your speeder or watch crota burst into ash take a minute and read up.
From Nine To None
Still not entirely sure how our buddy Xur picks what to bring to the tower, but he needs a new method. This weeks very disappointing choices are
The glass house - In my opinion this us a very situational helm. While it does increase the distance and length of weapons/blessing of light i personally think there are far better options in exotic helms for the titan.
Don't touch me's - while these are amazing gauntlets for yhe hunter class, the repetitious offering of these has made me a little unhappy. Nothing against the exotic as they are life saving, but there are many other hunter exotics i would like to see.
Sunbreakers - meh... while they perform as advertised, in most cases ive found (except boss fights and control) the extra lengths isnt really needed. Plus, pretty sure these should be on clearance due to the amount of times good ole xur has offered
Plan C
While I was a huge fan of this gun pre dlc, with all the offerings of fusions rifles i dont feel its worth an exotic slot. Pve play is better swrved uskng the plug 1, perun's fire or many other fusion rifles. It does still anipe kids in pvp and if close quarters is your thing, the actual plan c perk can save you from a group of guardian hungry thraws.
Xur also has gauntlet engrams, exotic shards, a selection of exotic upgrade choices and NO HEAVY SYNTH!
Tip Of The Week
As i mentioned last week im trying to add content to this update weekly. Once I achieve a template everyone seems happy with, ill still to that. This weeks 1st addition is the tip of the week... Whether it is gameplay or circumstantial I will add a new kne every week. If you have any ideas or tips. PM ME. Keep em clean Tuber..
BE READY
While some may not be concerned about it, I for one am amazed at how much time is taken up by guardians getting ready. Now of course a spur of the moment invite may dictate a quick run to the tower. However, 5 different guardians going one after another is redonkulous!. Add to this the amount of time wasted during raids and other gamemodes. While there will always be exceptions to the rule, the next time you raid anyalyze how much time you apent idle. For some you may find out you spent just as much time jumping around as you did shooting.
3 To Rule Them All part duex
Well thanks to Carolina stepping up while this guardian pinched some nerves in his back, the skirmish teams are almost complete. There is a thread asking availability. I would request that entrys are completed by next friday so i can have everything situated by the following monday.
Story Of The Week
This part I will need some help on. As i do not get to play with everyone. If you have an epic story about a fellow fireteam member or just a big that'a boy for a clanmate. Send me the story and ill tell it to the world!!!
So for this week Ill tell you one I witnessed from my dead orb during a match of skirmish.
After jumpong into a group of three combatants by myself, i soon fell victim to a fusion rifle to the face. Our random blueberry had too been turned into a floating orb not to long before. While leon had a moment he could have fled and regrouped, all i hear it "F&*k it...YOLO".. Leon blinks over the three of them and commences to go into ninja mode. Now mind you im floating there witnessing this. One shotgun to the face, one double melee and then a shotgun melee combo and the next thing i know im revived and we are dancing a jig. I wish i could have heard what the other teams thoughts were on this event..#priceless
Guardian Of The Week
"UNDER CONSTRUCTION"
This part is where i will pick a random clan mate and post some info about them. So keep checking your in box as you may have a small questionare from me.
Thoughts And Discussion
Last week we talked about the chedda in Destiny. Thank you for all the input from my fellow death dealers.
This week I would like to ask.... What are your thoughts on the weapons update coming. While Im not going to list all of them specifically. ..
Buff to pulse rifles
Decrease distance and fast shooting of hand cannons
Bigger spread on fusion rifles so to take away some distance sniping with them.
Auto rifle distance nerf.
Shotgun range slightly decreased but buffed 100% in Pve (YES!!!!! )
Do you feel good/bad about any of these? Will it effect yiur weapon selection? Feel free to chime in and tell us your thoughts.

Bungie: We noticed you're not using the guns that suck the most in this game. So we're going to make them better! Omagic: Sweet! Bungie: Oh, and we're going to make all the other guns suck more. Omagic: "Wait, what?! Bungie: Well, since the game came out you've been using certain guns a certain way and we don't think they should be used that way any more. Did we mention that these are also the guns that you all use the most? Wait...here's a table. See! Data to show that you really like these guns. Omagic: Uuuhuh? ...That's cool, I guess. Seems most people like to play the game the same way I do. Bungie: Yeah, no. We need to fu.ck with that. Omagic: Really? Why? I think it's safe to say you're not going to get a happy response to this. See...here's your table. I'm guessing everyone who's not that...let's see...2 to 6%, yeah, they're gonna be kinda pissed by this. Bungie: ...yeah. Well, see...Let me introduce you to Jon. Jon Weisnewski. Omagic: HOLY SHIT! Err..I mean, um hi Jon. Wow, Jon's looking really rough. Kind of like if Sad, Lonely, and Malnurished had a baby with Lorde. Bungie: We... err...he, well. Here's the thing. He's my fiancé's brother. I had to get him a job 'cause, like, her dad's a fuc.king borderline sociopath, and I'm pretty sure he was going to feed me to his ocelot farm. Omagic: Ocelo...what?! What the fu.ck are you talking about? Bungie: Dude's got a freakin gaggle of those things. I don't know, I'm not even sure what a large group of Ocelots is called. I mean their cats so it's not like they're a pack of Ocelots. Or a herd. Plus, did you know that an ocelot is a solitary creature? Omagic: Solitary??? Bungie: Yeah! So this pride of Ocelots her dad has, there's, like, not a single fu.ck given by any of them. They're that cranky! Omagic: Oh my god stop! Stop it now. Please get to the point! Bungie: Right. So Jon's the guy that designs all of our pulse rifles. Well, not really designs, but he's a creative consultant...for the pulse rifles. Omagic: ...... Bungie: He pointed his fingers and said "pew, pew, pew!!" really fast. We made those pulse rifles. Point is he's been whining to no end that no one uses his stupid "pew, pew, pew" guns. And his dad has started restricting his ocelot's diets again. I'm not going out by no god damn ocelot! Who dies that way! Omagic: This isn't happening... Fine, whatever. Have you at least fixed the heavy ammo problem yet? Bungie: ...no. Omagic: Will you at least confirm that the next expansion will be here in March? Bungie: ...no. It won't be out till second quarter. Omagic: ...you. ...just. Motherfuc.ker. Bungie: ...you're still going to keep playing though aren't you? Omagic: Sigh. Yes, yes of-bloody-course I'm going to keep playing. Stop smirking. I fu.cking hate you. Gawd! Tell me you at least got obnoxious amounts of grateful-for-helping-out-my-retarded-brother sex from your fiancé? Bungie: Hell yeah!! Omagic: That makes me feel a little bit better.

Edited by CarolinaArgyle: 2/9/2015 4:50:54 PMMy (extensive) thoughts on the weapons update: 1) Pulse rifles: Damage buff is greatly needed but doesn't solve the problem. I think the stability needs to be increased across the board - that extra damage isn't going to help when the third bullet doesn't hit the target at all due to the recoil from the first two bullets. 2) Hand cannons: Range nerf seems appropriate for how the type was meant to be used (close-medium range). "Slight reduction to initial accuracy" might also be ok since the note said it wouldn't affect is "unnoticeable at close to medium range", so hopefully this is true. 3) Fusion rifles: Increased blast cones at longer ranges might be alright. "Makes the weapon better damage into a group" is an accurate statement, but I'll never use an FR for that purpose - I might as well just equip my HC and individually target the enemies or toss a grenade. I use FRs in PvE for burst damage on majors/ultras if I don't want to use a rocket on them (preferable if the crit spot isn't easy to hit and/or my equipped primary does reduced damage to yellow bar enemies). 4) Auto rifles: A perfect example of how Bungie uses PvP metrics to create a dumb change in PvE. I agree with the changes to ARs in PvP (probably the most "OP" primary weapon class), but HCs and Scout Rifles are so much more preferable in PvE compared to ARs (unless you're using SUROS Regime) because the ARs just don't do enough damage compared to their stability/magazine size. Why bother with the Vanquisher VIII to kill 2 enemies with a full clip when I can equip my Red Hand IX and kill those enemies with two headshots and still have 8 bullets left in the magazine? The range nerf on ARs only compounds the problem - if anything, there should have been a range buff in PvE. As it stands in PvE, ARs overlap significantly with HCs in terms of the distances from the enemy that they're meant to be used, but HCs far outstrip ARs in damage dealt per magazine as a class. 5) Shotguns: Damage buff in PvE is sorely needed. Still, not nearly enough of a buff to make them viable. This post says it pretty -blam!-ing well. In addition to the damage buff, there also needs to be a ranged buff (not a goddamn nerf). Almost all higher level PvE content makes it a dumb decision to get close enough to effectively use a shotgun due to Lightswitch/burn modifiers. That damage buff doesn't mean shit when a major can one-shot you during a Lightswitch Nightfall. Another way to fix this problem is to increase the ability of shotguns to make the enemy stagger: this would make using shotguns a high-risk, high-reward weapon (you can use two/three hits to take down a major, but if you miss a shot, that major will kill you immediately). I agreed with a lot of the "goals" listed for each weapon class in the weapons update, but the actual proposed implementation of these goals was hit or way-off-the--blam!-ing-target miss.

Tip of the week: not die. As it was last week, till you get something better:-)

Pulse rifle: I like the buff. I use to run a bad seed down w/ strong target acquisition and increase precision with body shots. Was great in midrange. Auto rifle: mixed feelings. I kinda like being able to use suros as a scout rifle. Fusion rifle: not a big fan of them so not much experience. But increased spread is great. I hate getting killed by plan c from far away. I can pull out my plug one with increased stability Shotgun: hopefully shot package will still help with the range.
