They're more situation specific I find. I'll use them on the conflux section of the raid, have a full auto secret hand shake/sword breaker so they come in handy. I usually run to the top too on the portal section after taking down the gatekeeper & I can wreck the vex spawning in. Pvp obviously they come into their own.
