They are a close quarters weapon - PVE maps generally favour mid to long range They are a weapon of last resort when an enemy is on top of you. I would rather keep the secondary slot for a sniper rifle - which does high dmg at greater RNG Getting headshots with them is problematic up close and a waste of time as they are a naturally clumsy weapon designed for reaction rather than aiming

  • Yeah, I've thought the same. Eventhou I do use them day to day gaming in PVE. What is the point when you have to stuff it to the target's face?

  • I admit I did have fun with invective for a while in PVE as the small clip size didn't matter too much as the bullets regenerate (I was also proud of myself for braving the crucible to get the bounty done if I'm honest!) although after a while I longed for the precision of a sniper. I really wish Bungie had made it easier to switch the second slot by some kind of button press (d pad for example) that way you could flip between sniper & shotty to your hearts content!!

  • I was too... (Not been back to the crucible since!) I do quite like the four horsemen though so if u don't fancy going for invective give that baby a try - it's a lot of fun to use! Great post btw :)
