Why aren't YOU using Shotguns in PVE?
Do share, why don't you use them? And I'd rather have more specific reason than "I don't like them" (which is a valid reason ofcourse), because I'm curious why don't you like them.

I use my 4th horseman vs crota all the time the range is incredable

1 ReplyBecause I could never learn the effective range in this game. Every single time I tried I'd get killed (even more than I normally do), eventually I'd get frustrated and go back to what works for me.

I'm leveling up my Universal Remote now as it could become viable with the 2x damage boost in PVE that is set to be patched in.

I've always been a sniper in video games. If I have an option to spawn with one, I'll go for it.

The level design makes it so that close quarters is suicide. Most of pve activity every week is the raids and the nighfall/weekly heroic, then a small fraction for daily bounties. Why don't we use shotgun in nightfall or raids, because its suicide.

I don't even use them in pvp. The immense lack of range just makes them irrelevant for my play style.

I can't remember if I've replied to this or not. I use them in PvE, as I can't aim for shit and have only found good shotguns, always got terrible rolls on the fusion and sniper rifles.

I was using a Secret Handshake shotty i got from an engram (better than the one sold by Vanguard), it was really good against Minoturds in VoG HM. Killed them fast af and stun lock to oblivion

I use them from time to time, find ranged weapons more affective but when playing my Titan I use shottys a fair bit for fun.

It is safer to just use a sniper rifle I don't use fusion rifles either

I play a stay back approach and when I do get up close and personal, its either by accident or to FoH/Storm Fist

Hahah! Risk. It is a video game and yet people are still a-scared. Shotguns are the single most fun in game. The risk IS the fun. Fusion/sniper for show, shottie for a pro.
