Do share, why don't you use them? And I'd rather have more specific reason than "I don't like them" (which is a valid reason ofcourse), because I'm curious why don't you like them.
Thank you!
EDIT: Typo, and thank you for feedback. :p

For the most part, I use a Universal Remote/Secondary Shotgun with my Warlock. I'm usually at the top in kills for ROC strikes. It's fun to play differently.
-
Because only a moron runs up to a level 33 mob with a weapon that has 5 foot range.......
-
I've used found verdict on oracles in vog, works well
-
A better question is why do you use them?
-
Edited by mrwazzabi: 2/7/2015 1:42:55 AMThey suck in pve. If you ever get that close to a major or ultra you might as well kill yourself.
-
The only times i really need to unload that much damage on an enemy, its powerful enough that its not worth the risk since the ratio of chances of victory and death are too much against my favor
-
I don't want to be in touching distance to those vile thralls lol
-
You can kill more things faster with the scout rifle and shotgun would be horrible in weekly and nightfall considering it's not a good thing to die.
-
Cuz im a hunter and fragile. But I prefer fusion rifles due to being able to kill multiple targets in one shot.
-
Snipers (like the icebreaker) are much better in boss fights but for pvp my invective will be my permanent special
-
I'll use them post buff when they get double damage
-
Good way to die. They don't have enough power up close to kill tier 2 and up enemies quick enough.
-
I delete all shotguns. Just keep the exotics in vault
-
They suck in Pve.
-
Well getting up close and personal is a good way to die. That wouldn't be a problem for thralls or dregs cuz the shotgun is a ohk for them. But for minotaurs and knights it is a huge disadvantage. It doesn't have enough stopping power to be viable against them
-
I don't do too well in extreme close quarters.
-
Only time I use shotguns in pve is for fun during roc strikes or something
-
Cause sniperrifles r op :)

These answers are funny. They go two ways. 1. I don't use it because it takes no skill, I'm not a scrub etc. 2. I don't use it because it's not smart to get that close to ______. My guess is those answering in group 1 don't run anything on harder than the default difficulty level. I tried running secret handshake on a weekly heroic prior to the buff because it was void and that was the active burn. That didn't last long. I couldn't get near the Archon Priest because of his stomp. Anyone who says it takes no skill has no clue.

Well, it feels like a fusion rifle that does less damage. That's just how it feels like to me; I know it's not true. Not only that but I'd rather have one precision primary gun and a mass destruction secondary gun, as I call them. I'm not very confident with snipers (even though I use my IB every now and then) so this works for me. Like you said, that's my opinion as to why I don't like them, as silly as it may sound. Also, at this point I'm just not used to them and I'm too lazy to learn how to use them properly.

Because titties.
-
Because the damage my shotgun does is nothing compared to the dance I take from a Minotaur punch :p
-
Edited by IcyShogun: 2/7/2015 1:37:05 AMBecause "at close quarters a fist is better than any gun"
-
No good ones
-
Close range engagement are something I try and actively avoid

I do use shotguns in PVE. Of course, shotguns have been my favorite weapon since I've started playing shooters. I rock invective, it's easily my favorite exotic.
