The other day something hit me... Dual wielded hand cannons. From previous FPS, dual wielded weapons were a go to in pvp. For example: BO2 had dual wielded B23R which was extremely effective in close to medium ranges against 1-3 players.
Hand cannons are optimal at close to mid range, but struggle to take multiple targets quickly, this would be easyer with dual wielded hand cannons
Here is my idea for mechanics, animations and actions etc. First the dual wield will apply to all hand cannons as a choose able perk, from the start.( that means no unlocking for this) second when reloading both hand canons go down to reload, giving your opponent the chance to attack, balancing out the fight. The ability to automatically reload happens when both weapons run out of ammo. Also applying the perk for dual wield causes the range and the accuracy and the stability to decease, and the perk also increases the impact and the rate of fire. As for the animation, the hand cannons go out of sight below the screen and then they Pop back up. As for the firing animation the hammers go out and back down, like they normally do, however the hammers on the last word are pulled back with your thumbs. Lastly both hand cannons spin for the last word like it does now.
leave your ideas or improvements for this down below as well as critics. Bump so deej sees this!! :-)
I now relize that a new exotic is needed, anyone got any ideas?

Imagine having dual TLW with its bonus hip-fire accuracy and damage. It would be like the model 1887 from mw2 before they got nerfed.

I think their should be a single exotic with the perk. As far as the functionality, it would fire one until it's empty, then fire the other while you're reloading. Should only have a 5-6 round magazine with high impact because of how inaccurate it will be. No ADS.

No thanks.

And to actually balace out the gameplay it has to become low damage high fire rate like ARs we have now. It is just cosmetic to implement dual wield. Low stability. Low dmg. High rate of fire. Low range. Doable. But do we need another set of weapons like this? Those ARs are already underwhelming.

You'll shoot your eye out.

Holy crap that would be a fantastic perk or super

Dual hand cannons is a terrible idea. It was for CoD and it will be for Destiny. If Bungie has any sense it'll stay away from this slippery slope.

Nope nope nope

Nope nope nope

Would still be pretty op. Do you know how many kills you would get with dual timur's lashes with field scout before reloading? Or how many kills you would get with thorn? I'm sorry but this would break the hell out of the weapon balancing in the game.

Model 1887 akimbo from cod mw2 <3

As long as the damage was nerfed while you where dual welding.

I was thinking about this today and halo 2 had some sweet dual-wielding songs would be an awesome exotic weapon not using two exotics at once but the exotic itself is a dual smg.
-
I would think that it would be hard to hit enemy's from medium to longer ranges. It would make the Hand cannon a short rang e weapon only
-
That would be so freaking awesome.

New hunter special right there

I'll bite. Hand cannons are not pistols. The recoil on a hand cannon requires the use of two hands or it would probably break the user's arm. To have two hand cannons, the impact would have to be decreased and so would the stability and accuracy.
