DEAD ORBIT RANK 40! DEAD ORBIT SHIP, SHADERS & MORE!
Where all my Dead Orbit's at?
Just hit rank 40 with DO yesterday and they finally gave me The Fermi Solution, the Legendary Dead Orbit Ship yesterday in a level-up package. It's weird, I only get the sweet drops on benchmark packages. It seems like I have gotten a shader at rank 10, 20, 30 and the ship at 40. That just my experience with my Warlock, my Hunter has had different drops. Check out the video for what I have on my Warlock.
Let's discuss everything and anything DEAD ORBIT! Anyone else have the Ship? I am under the impression, that like Faction Shaders, they are probably the most rare items in the game. I am gonna say that the Faction Shaders and Ships are the rarest items in the game, maybe not the most valuable to some (to me, yes), but most definitely the rarest items (YES, rare than the Crux). I am also kinda obsessed with collecting the very best possible iteration of every DO weapon. I've been rollin with my Deviant Gravity-A since like week one, has Rodeo, Grendier, and Field Scout, and according to destinytracker it is the gun I have the most kills with in Crucible. I also have a very OP Final Rest II that has Accelerated Coils, its literally a Legendary Plan C, I dare say maybe better.
Dead Orbit is the best faction, the only faction, the superior faction. All other factions bow before DO.

1 ReplyDang im not sure what im doing wrong. I am either 19 or 20 with dead orbit and i havent got any shaders or ships. I think before they patched it, i received a few capes (which i was already wearing).

Bittersteel, Revenant, and that Final Rest 2 here as well. Exodus Plan with Active Radar and Clusterbombs is probably my favorite non-Raid/Exotic RL. Seems like I always get Void damage stuff from them. Anybody else? No ship yet, but I mostly fly the original one just to look like a super noob. But it's a legit OG ship, like a '76 Buick Riviera. Just started New Monarchy for some variety. Tried FWC on another character but never liked their stuff. I'm just doing for the new Vanquisher VIII from NM.

Just hit 30 myself... Got the hanged man twice. Never got the rocket launcher of fusion rifle yet... But good on ya man. I like seein DO brothers on the field of battle ... Keep on keepin on

I just got the ship on my last package, rank 23 I think. I haven't even seen another person with it so I know that the faction ships are quite rare. I got a fairly good auto rifle from them, but nothing beats the Deviant Gravity machine gun that I got. It has bonus accuracy while crouching and surplus. Add in Field Scout and this thing is amazing. 60 in the magazine and 90 ammo on pick up. I also have revenant and bittersteel. I just moved on to New Monarchy but Dead Orbit will always be the best faction. I really wish factions were more than a vendor in this game.

Welcome to the RNGayness system. Just another reason towards not purchasing destiny 2 or the added DLC, later in the year. Just waiting for Dark Souls to really kill this game. Dying Light is a blast at least.

Really want that ship! Looks so much like the space shuttle! As for the shaders, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn them down. But... you can only re-positions white and black as a color scheme so many times before they all sorta look the same. I'd kinda like to see some shaders that put the logo of that faction onto your guardians armor. Like, ghosted over the helm or chest, maybe running down the arms?

1 ReplyI'm rank 16 with Dead Orbit and have Hanged Man, Bittersteel and a Crypt Dweller SR1 with Outlaw, Explosive Rounds and Firefly. Got a nice Deviant Gravity-A prior to DLC.

1 ReplyI'm Dead Orbit 30 and still no flipping shader or ship. :-(. I'm gonna grind the m Fing faction till I get them!!!!! Insanity at its best. My best friend has all the luck. He's gotten shader from both DO and New Monarchy w less than rank 15. He plays less than I do and has better drops w almost everything. Sad face. Lol

I'm rank 39, so I hope you're right about this. I have yet to get a ship, shader, or weapon from them in any upgrade package. Always armor or shards or a commendation + one* strange coin.
