Because as a community manager deej has full control over the outcome of the development process. He codes the game all by his loneae and also owns activision to boot. All hail Deej, mighty lord of bungie! He's a glorified troll who gets paid well for posting links to patch notes and news articles.

Nope. He is a community manager. He gets feedback (user stories) from the community. He can then pass that information on to the developers (The guys that write the code). They in turn can influence how the game is played. So yes, Deej (the PR guy) has some control.

Really.. so when the community bitched about having to farm mats for hours nobody went in and influenced the code to make the vendors sell mats for marks. Yeah.. that didn't happen. That clearly isn't a case of the devs listening to the community.
