I'm a Canadian and I have never heard anyone say "aboot" or "eh".

You've never heard anyone say eh? I hear it constantly... And use it. What province are you from?
-
BC. No one here ever says it. Unless there a red neck, which I don't hang around them.
-
Fair enough. It's pretty common in Manitoba
-
I hate it when ppl say "eh" and then talk the same way Americans seem to think we talk. Annoys the hell outta me haha.
-
I don't even realize when I do it half the time haha. But I never use it in text
-
Lol. Doubt anyone does actually use it in text unless they're an American trying to impersonate us. Lol
-
Haha probably true
-
I seriously doubt any Canadians actually talk like that all the time it's just funny to think about
-
The only people that say eh are generally First Nations people. And they usually only say it at the tail end of a joke. Kind of annoying to hear lol, but I've only seen Americans actually say aboot. Usa has a tendency to start a lot of stereotypes about other cultures even tho most of them aren't even remotely true. Lol
