Remember the sorrow felt around Christmas when Playstation was attacked by a group calling themselves the Lizard Squad?
That was a bad 4 or 5 days. When PSN started to get things back up and running there was still a lot of people who couldn't log on. That is when I started hearing about a fix. Lower the MTU setting.
This "trick" so called just fixed my problem not 10 min. ago.
1. set up internet connection
2. select custom
3. choose wi-fi or wired
4. select "automatic" for most settings
5. I think the "do not use" is for proxy server
6. MTU. when you get to this point, select custom. the default is set to 1500. I lowered mine to 1450.
This was the same x-mas trick used by many after the ddos attack of 2014 (but at the time most people said MTU of 1475 or somthing). I am working just fine with 1450.
Please let everyone know if this worked for you or not.
-thanks, and good luck.
