When I read the title of this thread I was like, 'talk about hyperbole..'. But HOLY CRAP, dude this actually puts out a plot that makes sense and is well explained, engaging, even the voice although maybe not perfect is a million times better than 'oh its the hive'. Seriously Bungie, hire the the guy that did this, you guys really need someone like this on board.

I've been craving for something like this since the game started. Bungie needs to take the video to a high level meeting and show it to everyone so they can finally see where they've fked up. Because the DLC was supposed to be all about story but it was yet another disappointment. BUNGIE, WHAT IS ON THAT VIDEO - THAT'S WHAT WE WANT. A REASON AND A MOTIVATION TO PLAY AND FIGHT. Hell, maybe then this obsession for loot will subside somewhat because players will be playing because they want not because they're eager to get to the closing screen to see what rng got them.

If you have all the background information to accompany the gameplay it makes the game MATTER to the player by engaging and immersing them in the world. Without story, a game like destiny becomes about stuff rather than experiences, this game would be stronger if we had both.
