Thorn or last word
I haven't got either but I am on my way to completing the Thorn bounty, I know Thorn is great, but so is The Last Word, which do you think is better?

1 ReplyI love my Last Word and it is my favorite gun to play with in the game, hands down. However, from just a statistical breakdown, I'm willing to admit the Thorn is better overall, and one of the best guns in the game. So in my opinion: Thorn = Better overall Last Word = More Fun

Thorn is easier. Tlw is better vs the more annoying things in PvP. Blade dancers, Shorty's, fusion rifles, etc. Thorn is good on long range maps

2 Repliesthe question is ... do you run around the map and enjoy close/mid range combat, or do you use strategy and fight others in mostly mid/long range? TLW will destroy a Thorn up close, could go either way in the mid range fights, and Thorn will destroy TLW at long ranges. you should be using a sniper with TLW and a shotgun or fusion rifle with the Thorn. so really you should ask yourself how do you like to play crucible and pick the right gun from there.

TLW in the right hands is insane. Thorn is a much more easy to use weapon, to the point of being borderline OP.

The last word really favors a certain style of play. If that's your style it's amazing, if not you might as well be using anything. Same for thorn. Do u aim or hip fire? Get in close or stay back a bit?

I Have both and played with them extensively, personally I like tlw better for pvp

IMHO Thorn any day of the week, hands down! I can see the value of TLW in crucible but depending on your play style I'd still say Thorn's DoT makes up for the slower RoF. My two highly subjective cents.

Thorn. I prefer my HCs to have good range. last Word is still fun to use, but I find Thorn more Practical. the DoT helps keep enemy shields down, and compliments my Hunter Build.

1 Replythorn is amazing. its my primary for my hunter, and i love it. its stable, does damage over time, pretty good fire rate. i find last word is harder to control, but it fires in full auto, but i think thorn is still better for PvE and PvP
