10 ascendant shards from nightfall
I know this happens all the time and it's not the first time it's happened to me, but it still sucks. Ascendant shards are the most worthless material in the game. I can't do anything with them. Honestly would rather have motes of light.

I hear ya. My 3 nightfalls yielded me 19 ascendant energies this week.

1 ReplyIt is frustrating. I still have a hard time understanding why there is not a conversion mechanism or way to use them to obtain actual items we can use. If your characters have Crota armor the ascendent shards are completely useless and destiny still gifts you them like they are rare gems. I really don't get it.
