You do know most of the music is queued up to play in specific player-instances, right? Just because they walk into a new area and music plays doesn't mean shit. I walk into a new area and everyone disappears then comes back, are they teleporting away to get McDonalds?

No I mean it's NEW music. Music we've never heard before so that means it's for the mission specifically and all ready to go. All it needs is for the enemies to spawn.

To be technical, Sound Designers are given pretty much just archetypes to go with and told to do it. They don't have to worry, like with weapon design and the stats, it being too powerful or too weak, only if it evokes the right 'emotions' or a feeling of awe or happiness or whatever. They just do music and only fix it up if need be. They'd likely be done first, then Terrain Makers and whatnot.
