To everyone who says it's not there or there's just a placeholder structure in place:
Do you really think the 100mB TDB download contained all of the content that isn't on the disc?
Really?
And you think 98% of HoW isn't there, either?
That's just precious.

Who cares? They are doing us a favor by loading all the crap in so we can play right when it launches, this also gives world first attempters an equal chance

100mb? It was like 2 gig on the PS4 lol. Dumbass

Why don't you go delete all your content and then dl it? It was brought in patches over the course of a couple months. There was far more than you realized that you had to download. Yes, the mapping was there for the most part as it takes a lot less time to create the basic structure, the added details to it and the mechanics of the doors and all however need coded in to be working. The size does not tell the functionality or the content. A map takes much more info than telling a gun how to shoot or a character how to walk. But a map alone gives you nothing. It's only scenery. And that, that is all your disk contained. At most a very broken system inside that would do nothing for you. Learn how things work before you go complaining about them, less you enjoy sounding like an idiot.

Edited by Unforgiven: 2/5/2015 2:56:24 AMThe fact that the structure is there on disk, the entire scenery structure. All the guns, and armor thats planned. All the placeholders for the levels. Means that the DLC was almost fully developed at launch. How hard do you think it would be to turn off the enemies for them? What is the game if not scenery. Thats the thing that takes longest to develop. Enemies are just bigger versions of themselves. The AI is already been programmed. All that is needed is to make a short story structure, and put in the sounds and cinematic.

Edited by Bieltan: 2/5/2015 1:08:06 PMSo, you think work on DLC normally starts post-launch?
-
I'm bored enough to test this.
-
LOL How will you do that?

Delete file data. Character info is stored on Bungie servers so I won't lose anything.
-
It was spread out over 5 weeks so that it didn't bottle neck us all on the day of release...
-
100mb?? You mean 2 gig??

That's what I am trying to tell them. I think many hardcore players at this point know that it is there. They just don't talk about it. I only made this post to remind the Christmas noobs, as this info has been buried.
