Why are players quitting Destiny?
What do you guys think of this!? I've been noticing a HUGE decline in my friends who play Destiny still! Most of my REAL LIFE friends all stopped playing except me and others whom I met online have quit as well! Two of my old clans have vanished! My friends list slashed in half!
EDIT: out of my old clan and 182 friends on PSN, all of which used to play destiny, there are 72 online and 2 of them are playing Destiny! So if this trend continues its going to be slim pickens! I feel like its getting worse by the day! **[b]PLEASE BUMP THIS UP[/b] so Bungie will see this!***

I'm bored thanks to the lack of content and lack of communication between Bungie and it's players. (Other than the weekly update and the constant trolling by our 'community manager') I will stay online time from time to do the Nightfalls and help friends, and when HoW (already paid for like an idiot) comes I will probably play but other than that? Once this game cleans up it's act and actually gives the players what they want I will reconsider, but until that I'm going to play Borderlands 2 and actually have fun.

Haven't quit but my game time is only a fraction what it use to be. I think this is the case with most who have accomplished almost everything in the game. Give me some new exotics or gear and I'll be back grinding...

Realized I was wasting all my time for only one weapon that I only need for one raid and the way my rng luck is, feels hopeless to fall.

I haven't quit yet. I play a handful of games, and every now and then I play destiny. Usually at least once a week for the strange coins.

1 ReplyI dont blame anyone leaving destiny at this point its because of how lazy the devs are of this game.. its been 4 months since the last time we gotten ANY new content. I used to have 7 pages of people playing on my friends list but now? its less than a page because 1- there are more games coming out now and 2- There are NO new content to keep us playing and this is something that angryjoe mentioned in one of his videos that a lot of gamers will leave destiny due to the big gap of content which is what is happening now. im surprised that Bungie havent done anything yet i mean shouldnt devs create more content to keep the players addicted to the game? its common sense yet feels like Bungie dosent have that, look at CoD new content keep coming to it every other month but a $500 million budget game cant? lol

I pretty much feel the same way. That and world of warships plus the newly rereleased dungeon fighter online global occupy all my time with path of exile, war thunder and warframe in between. Plus a whole bunch of other games with singleplayer stories I still haven't finished.

1 ReplyI haven't "quit" but am on "hiatus" until HoW gets a release date. There is simply nothing to do. Sure I could try and RNG my way to lvl 32 but just can't be bothered. The game is just so stale and boring at the moment, it is in desperate need of fresh content but I don't think HoW will be enough. For me the game lives or dies by HoW. If it is another let down then I will only return to the game if Comet gets some seriously good post release reviews.

There is simply put nothing more to do that feels important or rewarding. Bungie can't feed us fast enough, it seems.

I think a lot of folks have just done it all. Heck, I have friends who haven't even done it all and its a sales pitch to keep them playing. AND these folks have already purchased the expansion pass.

Because my friends and I have 3 32's 2800 grimoire and every exotic gun and armor in the game. We have all raid guns. And there's nothing new to the game. No new pvp game modes that aren't based on team death and there's no content for pve to justify rerunning strikes. We're all playing The last of us where the pvp is balanced and no single gun can kill every player (granted there are guns that are better than others). And we also play borderlands because most of us didn't buy the DLC and considering they come free with the remaster we figured why not? It's challenging on OP8 so not everything is one shorted or killed in 10 seconds like in destiny. For us, it feels like Bungie doesn't care about the game or the community. We've agreed to play HoW only because we got conned into buying it for that discount! WOOO! But unless something happens when it drops most of us aren't coming back for comet (myself included and two of my buddies have said this also).

Because I've collected every exotic, levelled them all to max, have at least 1 of every Crota raid weapon, and have every single non-crucible grimoire card (I don't feel like playing crucible without friends). And yet I'd still play because the gameplay is just fun but everyone else is playing other stuff until there's new content.

I still play with my friend one a week for the nightfall and we run threw raids. Tbh if it wasnt for this I wouldnt play anymore due to lack of content but its the only time we spend together anymore so that what keeps me coming back once a week.

The grind. Economy of the game is terrible. Lack of content. I refuse to do iron banner. Last few months I even tried it was lag fest. Pvp is 98% hunters, 99.87% thorn, 97.31% shotgun. Pve there is nothing of interest to do. Once you have 3 32's there is nothing to keep one playing. The deal about vault space is a joke... oh xbox 360 doesnt have enough ram? Well xbox one has all same hardware except an extra processor and blue ray player. Pokemon games on the original gameboy had more storage space than destiny vaults. For the budget they had why is it so difficult for them to add content or events? Mobile freemium games have more content. HoW doesn't even perk my interest at this point.

I don't think its people leaving, more like they're taking a break before HoW. I myself have taken a break and finished 4 games (the amazing spiderman, banjo kazooie, fable 2, and fable 3). I'm just waiting for more content. Now after HoW (if its a miss) is when you might see a sharp decrease in player base.

Boring man once u got everything its pretty much done. Its boring as hell doin the same strikes and 2 raids. not exciting anymore since i been here since day 1.. havnt played destiny in days now man smh if BUNGIE drop the -blam!-in house of wolves when it was intended to release yes i would still be playing but may 19th -blam!- that man im having alot fun this summer not grinding for -blam!-in gear
