Triple. A. Title.
Edit #1- Wow I got a ton of feedback from posting this. Glad to see there are so many guardians out there still voicing their opinions. Also, on a side note, I just want to make it clear that I did not create this video.
Lets hope threads like this may change Bungie's strategies for story telling in the future. Although the concept of the Grimoire is a great ADDITION to a story, and unclear narratives can sometimes lead to community driven story telling, I cannot help but feel that the lack of a cohesive story in Destiny is a result of poor planning, budget cuts, or laziness on Bungie's side.
Thanks again for the feedback guardians, keep it coming, and keep your light safe.
Edit #2- Broke 900, soon to be 1000! Lets keep the conversation rolling. Also I would like to address one point.
This video does indeed use information presented in the Grimoire cards. However, the praise I am giving is directed at the way this narrative is PRESENTED by the creator of the video. I feel that the way this information was organized in the video is much more effective than any way it was presented by Bungie themselves. Time and effort was put into the creation of this video to make sure the player understood lore, actual events in game, as well as symbology related to the story that is told. This, in my opinion, seems like a much more caring way to present a narrative.

Beautiful *tear rolls down eye*
-
That was very well done.
-
Really well made
-
Amazing! This is such a testament to how much players love this game, in spite of all it's shortcomings and all it's flaws. Hopefully Bungie appreciates this as much as we do and can find a way to not just make a game that is fun to play, but take some tips from this and also tell a great story.
-
Only problem with this is that it's so dull and anticlimactic. If he had a 500 mil budget, this would've been a lot better. He just made a documentary about Destiny's plot.

Peter Cullen aka Optimus Prime would have made this video at least 500,000,000 times better. Doesn't mean I didn't like it though, this guy is a story teller and should defininetly keep doing it.
-
That was great
-
You do realize that the 500 Mill was not just for game development right? That it was for advertizing and many other things. So your insult is a fail. They are not going to change the game to how you want, they are not going to make the story be how you want, they are not going to add in more cutscenes because you want ever.
-
That was amazing!
-
That was the best 15 minutes I have spent on these forums.
-
Wow... he told this games lore better in this SINGLE -blam!-ING VIDEO than Bungie did with the whole damn game... well done.
-
Incredibly well put together, it even answered some questions I had about the story line so that made me happy. I wish even half of this was in the game, fantastic work.
-
This video almost makes me want to love destiny again but I wont make that mistake again
-
It's a good video. I'm still good with Destiny as is though. The movie didn't do all that much for me.
-
Edited by Cl0uD: 2/5/2015 10:04:41 PMWell done. Your story telling is more connected & ACCURATE than the actual game itself. Let's hope these greedy bastards can issue a check and invite you to dinner at least. Keep the good work and bring Chapter 2.
-
Well it's obvious Since movie maker is op it'll get nerfed. -jk I love bungie
-
Activision came in and -blam!-ed with Joe Statens story. Thats why he left.
-
Kudos to the guy who made the video. Dude put in more work than Deej aka beat around the bush about important information.
-
This was amazing.
-
Thank you good sir or ma'am, for sharing this link! Its great to get loads of grimoire info in one shot like this!
-
If only Bungie made an effort to put this much detail in the story in-game. Rich lore with zero attempt to make it known by the masses. Destiny could have been an epic saga.
-
This is excellent, people seem to think destiny has no story, maybe it doesn't, but the lore is deep, and it is some great story telling. If only Bungie would convey this in the actual game. I love the lore, I constantly looking online for something I don't know. This was presented beautifully.
