Allright Bungie, someone trumped your entire game's presentation of plot, narrative, and 500 million dollar budget using only Windows Movie Maker. Your move.

Edit #1- Wow I got a ton of feedback from posting this. Glad to see there are so many guardians out there still voicing their opinions. Also, on a side note, I just want to make it clear that I did not create this video.
Lets hope threads like this may change Bungie's strategies for story telling in the future. Although the concept of the Grimoire is a great ADDITION to a story, and unclear narratives can sometimes lead to community driven story telling, I cannot help but feel that the lack of a cohesive story in Destiny is a result of poor planning, budget cuts, or laziness on Bungie's side.

This video does indeed use information presented in the Grimoire cards. However, the praise I am giving is directed at the way this narrative is PRESENTED by the creator of the video. I feel that the way this information was organized in the video is much more effective than any way it was presented by Bungie themselves. Time and effort was put into the creation of this video to make sure the player understood lore, actual events in game, as well as symbology related to the story that is told. This, in my opinion, seems like a much more caring way to present a narrative.

Watching videos like this really make me wonder, what do they do at Bungie. This TerraMantis (I love this guys videos) most likely makes these at home, and they have studio after studio to make something like this.

The Narration reminds me of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Very well done, might even land a job out of this effort.

I know, nitpicking, but in a lore video, it should be somewhat accurate. Edit: i have now found out that my thoughts were indeed false. My apologies.

We were fooled by bungie, we wanted something new, and they knew that, so they just dropped the beta, half assed the game and the dlcs WERE supposed to be on the game, damn video game market. Damn you game companies for not putting something good before destiny.

So bungie actually posted this on their destiny facebook page. Fantastic vid, but plenty of other youtubers make great lore videos like this. There are a plethora of dark souls videos that come to mind of similar quality. The game has story, it's just not shoved in our face and left up to interpretation. Although I do wholeheartedly agree that they could have done a MUCH better job of implementing it while still being subtle.

Now if Morgan freeman could voice act this and be implemented in the game i would buy every sequel. Atleast have the cards in the game voice acted too and have cutscenes like this i would be happy.
