Unless you say " i remove the pit before eating the plum" or something like that, yes.

I never remove it before eating, I eat to the pit, take it out and keep eating

The jewels, once brilliant and clear as glass, are now stained brown. I believe that color is called champagne. Its worth a small fortune.
