because if it's eye sight is fallible
This is one of the most ridiculous sentiments I have ever heard lol, no offense. How do you think research was conducted before humans invented machines, who do you think inputs that information into said machine.
I will get back with you once I have finished a test, I am not the only one who has conducted this sort of test and you could pretty much look online for another person's analysis you will even find ours will be extremely similar. Mine will have exact numbers though. I am not biased, If Dragon's Breath performed better than Gjallarhorn I would be the first to say it.
Even though you are likely not interested my test will involve
Hunger of Crota
One Way Ticket 000
Valedictorian 9-44
Dragon's Breath
Gjallarhorn
I will be only using single target damage against bosses as that is what they are good for and primarily used for. If you want me to test against mobs, I can already say that Dragon's Breath will likely outperform Gjallarhorn, I can show you a couple LMG's outperform Dragon's Breath as well if you really want to bring up mob killing rocket launcher which will only prove that Dragon's Breath is in a role it wasn't meant for, and not only that it sucks at it compared to LMGs.

Ok listen. ....I'm saying eyesight is fallible because not all the numbers will always show up. ..plain and simple Wolf pack rounds don't always activate, damage can be spread differently That's fact, you can't test dps numbers like that, you need a program to gather the data, sometimes the numbers plain won't show up You can't test it like that, it won't be accurate, if you think it will then you're dense, end of story. Pretty easy to see that

Edited by Saint Genji: 2/3/2015 10:41:35 AMConcerning Wolf Pack rounds not activating, this is not an intentional side effect of Gjallarhorn and will not be included in the DPS test. I could but only you personally would benefit from the data from the test and it would take considerably longer than the test I am currently going to do. As you want a Sustained DPS test. Sure it factors in an unintentional side effect of this buggy game but you will get the same exact results in the end Gjallarhorn malfunctioning 1 shot every 7 it will still out DPS Dragon's Breath, As my last DPS test proved. Saying a Max DPS test is not worth as much as a Sustained DPS test is ridiculous, saying something is fallible isn't a bad thing because we will never get a 100% accurate tests due to the nature of this game. The game isn't perfect, so you will never get a perfect test.
-
Ok exactly what I said. ....you can never have an accurate test. You proved my point
-
Edited by Saint Genji: 2/4/2015 1:52:59 AM
you can never have an accurate test
You can, it takes considerably longer. There isn't just one test you can take. I will be doing a max DPS test concerning best scenarios for each weapon concerning perfect scenarios and this will be 100% accurate. In the end the information won't be valuable to soley you, which doesn't matter, because you are one of the few that honestly wants a sustained DPS test with Gjallarhorn when 99% of the community without test knows it's clearly better. And if you honestly think that the Gjallarhorn malfunction over a sustained DPS test will somehow make it worse than a Dragon's Breath, you are sorely mistaken.
-
I never said it wasn't better, I'm simply stating your test is flawed from the get go, it can't be accurate. There are no simulations to run, there is no sustained test to run, there is number crunching simply because you can't gather the data, you have to look and hope you catch all the numbers popping up on your screen. .....in no way is that accurate
-
Edited by Saint Genji: 2/4/2015 2:06:26 AMYou are overcomplecating it. All i have to do is gather 4 numbers, rocket impact, secondary explosion, Wolf pack round, secondary explosion. Against the same target they will always do the same amount of damage in an optimal circumstance. For Dragon's Breath Impact, secondary explosion and Solar Grenade ticks. I gave Solar grenade max ticks against a 300 Gjallarhorn rocket launcher and it still lost. This is best against best, this is the absolute best the rocket launchers will be able to do, and it will be 100% accurate because it is a really simple test to take. Whatever argument you are trying to make, you failed at it. Becaue you didn't take into account there was more than one test, there can be hundreds of tests between the rocket launchers many with 100% accuracy. A sustained can also be but it takes considerably longer. Here is the easiest test that you can do yourself, go to sekrion mission fire 7 rockets and take video of every single one and gather the data. Being that it is vertical you can see all the explosions if you pause the video, every one.
-
Then you're gunna have to spread sheet the numbers over a decent amount of gatherings and average it for an accurate measurement
-
That is a sustained DPS test, that isn't the only DPS test in existence.
-
You need some kind of damage meter that other mmos have
-
You're plain wrong lol, you gunna gather all those wolf pack rounds that hit at the same time? No. ..you're not, you gunna catch all those db ticks as they come out? No lol, you're not. You can't accurately compile the data by yourself. .....you need a program of some sort. ...sorry but your test will be wrong no matter what because huh simply can't gather everything you need
-

And I don't need to keep track of all the wolfpack rounds, only one because they always do the same amount of damage are are 16 numbers total, 8 rounds and 8 secondary explosions, simple arithmatic and I only need two numbers.and Dragon's breath solar ticks that is even easier.
