To those who don't know it yet(but I'm sure most of you do) the Nechrocasm is a steaming pile of dog poop. It's low impact, middling stability, and high fire rate make it fairly difficult to trigger its namesake perk "curse bringer" which in all honesty is a strictly worse version of firefly. Why in the world was this gun created in such a way that you cannot use its exotic perk to its fullest potential? And why is said exotic perk so weak? This gun is the most difficult thing to acquire in game and it sucks. I wish it had been of the low fire rate, high impact variety of auto rifles, and I doubt Bungie could/would change its stats that drastically so for now here are the changes which I think could make the gun feel like an exotic worth the effort it took to acquire it.
Changes I'd like to see to the gun:
-smart drift control added to the barrel options replacing cqb ballistics. The main difference here is a stability increase without a punishing range increase. I.e. look what happens to the suros regime with smart drift. This will allow further customization with the middle perk tree if you are not pigeon-holed into taking fitted stock. Speaking of...
-Fitted Stock. Why is this not perfect balance? For real, it's an exotic. The greater increase to stability would help immensely in triggering "curse bringer"
-Cursebringer as it stands now is an extremely lack luster firefly, not only does it not trigger every headshot kill it also seems to have less range with its explosion. Which is weird to me because the perk reads, "precision kills with this weapon have a chance to trigger a cursed thrall explosion." Aren't cursed thrall explosions these titanic camera shaking occurrences that we have all learned to avoid? Change curse bringer to actually trigger a gigantic explosion with a bigger radius and more damage than firefly. That would certainly make the gun feel exotic and feel rewarding when landing all those difficult headshots.
-Mag size. Why in the hell is it 42? Why didn't it go up from the ally? I feel like 60-70 in the mag would put in a good place for auto rifles of this type. But 42? Come on Bungie you're busting my balls here.
Despite these negatives I look forward to finally getting mine and not having to relevel it again. I thought that was an excellent design decision.

I enjoy using it on patrol, it is a fun gun... However, I'd never use it in a strike, raid or PvP. With the hard work required to receive this gun and the fact it takes up an exotic slot, it needs a buff somewhere to even think about using it in these places. For a start increase the clip size, up the damage a little and make the explosion 100% on precision kills, my 2-cents! ;)

Explosive rounds to make up for lack of impact. ..curse thrall explosion to be instant and on kill rather then precision

I just got this weapon today and it is very underwhelming.
