Not my video, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b13vuS7xrlo its being posted everywhere. As if this is cheating.
It's not. This is exactly what a potential battle against 2 very good teams would like like. Nova bombs and golden guns popping bubbles while strikers and blade dancers get in to some cqc and all the whole defender titans spawning bubbles.
Is this match 1 sided? Absolutely but because thier opponents are completely unprepared, not working together, not feeding each other orbs, they just can't hang.
So mad props to the guys that figured this out. Maybe, just maybe there will be some teamwork going on now in pvp a bit. When I see an enemy super I always super if I can use mine to shut theirs down.
If you think this is cheating or an exploit you are everything that is wrong with this community and probably suck or have no friends to do this with.
I cant wait to do this and to hopefully run into it so I can record some epic super battles.
Edit**
Deej is "looking into this" and if you agree that this should at least ride out to see how it's used in the future, at least for a short time, bump this thread.
Edit 2**
If you think this is cheating all I can say is listen to the first 20 seconds of this video https://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=urq9Lef_3T4
Edit 3**
Literally more than a dozen counters to this strat are listed below by random forumers. This is not hard to beat and takes 2 coordinated supers. Keeping it down takes more teamwork and without the lead this strat is useless. Get gud kids.
Edit 4**
Only way to nerf this is to nerf the titan in pvp. Let's not go there.
Edit5**
Apparently sunsingers feel left out of this strategy. If it helps create balance and define job roles simply let the sunsinger be the orb spawner and change the titan perk to generate orbs from kills inside the bubble vs just taking damage from the bubble.
Credit to whoever gave me that idea I'll find your name in a bit or pvt message me my bad
Edit**6
I heard they found a change, can anyone confirm ?

Nice.
-
If a patch is implemented, all they would is eliminate Orbs from super use in crucible. Thats the only way this exploit can work, is the orbs. Take the orbs away, take their abilities away.
-
Edited by SatelliteAA: 2/3/2015 9:59:43 AMThis is not a exploit, cheese, nor glitch. It is a legitimate way of refilling one's super by mathematically producing more orbs than consumed. However, because it is considered borderline "cheating" by the community, something might be done about this. But honestly, what are the chances of rolling a random team of 4 defenders and 2 gunslingers (random, not a fireteam).
-
Bubble titan suppressor grenades can break this mess up, especially if you have helm of saint 14
-
What happens when 2 teams do the same strategy against each other? Or 6 warlocks using nova bomb at the same time. All they'd had to do was wait and gain super while the bubble team sits and waits. 6 gunslingers using key hole passive skill can shoot right through a bubble.
-
Nerds.... And the one nerds voice.. Gawd..
-
Big thing why don't people do this during boss fights and everything for a raid it would help out so much just saying
-
Completely agree with you.. That's what a good team does. Makes a strategy to win. If your team is coordinated enough to do something like this then why not do it?
-
After reviewing the video again, I can see the losing team plays much like I do. Step 1. Pull dick out of jeans Step 2. Beat controller with dick Step 3. Lose game, receive Gjallarhorn
-
Now. THERE HAS TO BE A WAY TO COUNTER THIS EXPLOIT. What would it be? Ill say an opposong force with Gunslingers/keyhole and Nova bombs/Lance. If you can get a titan in there, he could suicide with a FoH and then bust out rocks to mop up, he'll die...but it would be a major blow to them.
-
Edited by loonigus: 2/3/2015 12:12:36 PMThe trash Destiny Crucible matchamting in a nutshell. Pairing up full fireteams with randoms... This would be more enjoyable if they met another fireteam doing the same and not stomping a bunch of scrubs lol. Oh well...
-
THIS IS NOT CHEATING. ITS CALLED TACTICAL TEAMWORK SOMETHING YOU PVP NOOBS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. Real competitive pvpers would never say this is CHEATING, it's actually beautiful. It's an art.
-
Great teamwork
-
Those guys thought they were so cool. 'Dude, my stream is blowing up'. What a bunch of pansies.
-
Yeah I'm really interested in this, seems like there could be some really interesting engagements if you had two good teams... However, in the long run this isn't the way MP is meant to be played, I think we will see orb spawning removed from crucible at some point down the road
-
Edited by TheWagn: 2/3/2015 6:25:44 PMnew idea for a silly gametype. only supers, but they recharge faster. Winning is all about how well you use/distribute orbs. There would be some crazy setups.
-
There's nothing wrong with this strategy. Bunch of -blam!-ing crybabies in Destiny. The opposing teams are a complete joke. That's how you don't play as a team. Everyone in the opposing teams are running solo. The only exploit I see is one team sucks and the other is using their head.
-
Orbs disappear when you die. Now the only tricky part is killing them. The striker should have tried other ways to smash them. There were only 2 guards basically.
-
Edited by how: 2/3/2015 6:21:43 PMThey should remove match making from pvp make them use the forum to find ppl like need six more control
-
My team and I tried it, we lost all 3 matches but we're getting better
-
Edited by Thorbadin: 2/3/2015 6:15:28 PMIn before nerf to Titan bubble. I have a feeling they will nerf it to spawn only 1 orb or no orbs on use... Just like they nerfed BD orb spawn... ;(
-
Even though I applaud the players that figured this strategy out, I feel like crucible is gonna be hell for me once this goes viral :(
-
I think this unlimited super thing is just fine because it requires major teamwork. I don't think it's fair that they can still win when they are not holding any flags for a most of the time. It make people play control like clash.
-
It's a smart strategy, but it really doesn't require that much teamwork. Too much hyperbole in these posts is the truly annoying part of them.
-
Good tactic, but terrible if they played against anyone with a small bit of skill. If there was one well played super, it would wipe their whole team out. This tactic only works on complete scrubs.
-
Totally legitimate strategy! Can't wait for the next Iron Banner!!! :)
