I don't have gjallarhorn. But it takes a full 6 rounds to drop an ogre on hard. Also, Gjallarhorn has no area denial effect on ogres so they tend to keep attacking you. I've run the abyss solo dozens of times and using dragons breath made it a lot easier to me. Two rounds to keep him back with DB vs 6 ghorn rounds to kill.
